There is still a great deal of uncertainty regarding this weekend's storm in southern (and possibly central) CA, and potential outcomes rain from mostly light-moderate showers to quite a strong storm with heavy rain, strong wind, and even thunderstorms. Will continue to update!

Still looking wet for #SoCal #Halloween weekend. Models are still quite varied in timing and amounts, limiting confidence. Ensemble multi-run total QPF has decreased last couple of runs. Will be an interesting ebb and flow with the forecast the next few days.

As the State Department deployment to Panama wraps up, we are proud to highlight the LACoFD USA-02 team’s work alongside USA-01 - conducting over 383 critical structural safety assessments across 7 provinces and 33 districts. Priority worksites included schools and education sites, medical facilities, government and emergency-service buildings, and churches. Our specialists provided vital data to Panamanian authorities to verify safety, guide repairs, and help essential services reopen. Our thoughts remain with the people of Panama as they continue to recover and rebuild.

Latest on #Rachel. Stil some uncertainty with Rachel and perspective rainfall for #SoCal. However, do think we will get a good early season rain, especially south of LA county. Personally, TSTM threat looks marginal (5-10%) as convective parameters aren't very impressive
