Our lab had a fantastic outreach with 40 enthusiastic 11th and 12th-grade students from the Summer Engineering Explore program at Arizona State University. PhD student Eric Weissman led an engaging workshop on fabricating artificial muscle.
Two weeks ago, I wrapped up teaching MAE598: Soft Robotics at ASU. This class was a hands-on journey where students designed, built, and tested their own robotic systems. @ASU @SEMTEatASU

I’ve been following this moving story, sometimes in tears.
They are in the age of my parents and came to the US more than 30 years earlier than my wife and me. But when I read the story to my wife, we saw ourselves in the story.
