I am very proud to say that yesterday, my daughter and two sons, spent their days giving people rides to and from the nearest polling places so they could cast their ballots. Between the three, they transported well over 350 elderly people.

We also have to thank Marc Elias for his tireless pursuit of justice. Fighting all the illegal things and BS cases that Trump tried to use to steal the election. Thank you Sir #Midterms2026

Gina Hinojosa walks out on stage and begins by addressing her two young children: HINOJOSA: In the past year. You have been so supportive. You have been so supportive and gracious, and I am so proud of you. Even though neither you or Matteo ever asked for this, my fight comes from my deep love for the both of you and my desire to make this world safer and better for the both of you. You have been so understanding and encouraging, and I thank you both so much

I was in court WITH Jeffrey Epstein for three days before he died and with his survivors reading their victim's impact statements. I KNOW what they have on Trump. There were 1700 photos of underage young people on the walls confiscated by the FBI. There were hard drives. WHERE ARE THEY?

Today, I watched the reaction to Haley Stevens’s interview with Anderson Cooper. Before the interview, after it, across Twitter and Facebook, people were expressing deep concern for her. Debbie Dingell reminded people that Stevens is human. Scott Jennings said she had been mistreated. Stevens herself described Abdul El-Sayed as mean and unkind. I don’t disagree that she is human. I don’t take pleasure in seeing someone struggle in public. But as I read those posts, I kept wondering where this tenderness had been when Abdul and his family were being attacked. Where was this empathy when his wife, mother, and father-in-law were pulled into the ugliness? Where was it when a brown Muslim Arab man was described as the aggressor, by a white woman who has vociferously defended the Genocide of the Palestinians, for refusing to give up his moral position on Palestine? Where was it when the attacks on him and his campaign were, in my view, racist and dehumanizing? The contrast was hard to miss. Stevens was treated as a person deserving concern. Abdul was still trying to bring the conversation back to Michiganders. I also kept thinking about the people now presenting Stevens as one of the country’s best Democrats, while barely reckoning with the choices she made… including the way her campaign attacked Abdul, and the support she gave to Mike Rogers. Many people online seem more concerned with her distress in this moment than with the harm inflicted on Abdul, his family, his supporters, and the people who saw themselves reflected in his campaign. And beneath all of it is a deeper disagreement: Abdul would not join the demand to dehumanize Palestinians. He would not treat their lives as disposable so that everyone else could move comfortably through the conversation. That refusal has carried a cost for him and for his family. Part of me feels sad watching Stevens struggle. Another part of me is exhausted by the familiar pattern: Muslim and Arab people are treated as threats, our anger is called aggression, and our pain is made invisible… until someone else’s pain becomes the story. I cannot imagine what Abdul and his family are carrying right now. I know what many of us have watched them endure. And I know that what Muslims in America are feeling, painful as it is, cannot compare with the devastation Palestinians have experienced. Still, the scale of that suffering makes it all the more disturbing to see how easily the world turns away from it. I also cannot ignore the reproductive-rights consequences of Stevens’s choices. Many of the same people now expressing concern for her seem unwilling to face the possibility that her endorsement of Mike Rogers helped put women’s health and rights at greater risk. Concern for one person should not require silence about the consequences of her political decisions. I want this election cycle to end. I want Abdul to win. And I hope that, when it is over, we will be willing to face what this campaign has revealed about whose pain is recognized, whose dignity is defended, and who is still asked to beg for the right to belong as an American. I am deeply grateful to the Jewish, Christian, and Black community who have spoken against this dehumanization and stood in solidarity. I hope we continue to show up for one another when either of our communities is under attack. As we inch closer to D-day, I hope American can relearn that there is no victory in stepping over someone else’s grief. Neither here, nor in a foreign land.

I’m Jewish. My relatives were killed in the Holocaust. In their memory, I just donated again to Abdul El-Sayed. Shame on Haley Stevens and her Jewish fiancé for supporting a fascist regime.

I’m one of the most Jewish Democrats you will meet. I lived in Israel, have family there, made 2 films about their baseball team. I would never vote for any candidate swearing fealty to Donald Trump. Not for the House, not for the Senate, not for local dog catcher. Time for all Americans to stop enabling his power grab. No exceptions. Now for the backlash. But I don’t care. Stopping Trump is the mission. I’m locked in. Blue wave means blue wave.

Per Drop Site (and Grok), the staffer who ran the presser for Rogers and Stevens today “is a registered foreign agent for the state of Israel—one of two foreign agents working on the Rogers campaign” She’s a subcontractor for Clocktower X, run by former Trump campaign chief Brad Parscale… which has registered as a foreign agent for Israel, taking in millions to push their agenda. The rest of the media will ignore this. More: dropsitenews.com/p/mike-roge…

Everyone should read this one.
I spoke with Haley Stevens yesterday. Feeling a bit absurd in pointing out the obvious and being far kinder than I should have been, I reminded her that the outcome of this senate race will be viewed in the light of a future Supreme Court vacancy, and I expressed a hope that all of us understand the stakes. She assured me she's supporting Dr. El-Sayed, sent me a video of a recent speech she gave blasting Mike Rogers and said this: "Still stands. I promise." She also said she's been sending this video to other folks to make it clear where she stands on this race. Again: that was yesterday. I have known Haley Stevens for years. I have counted her as a friend and an ally. We've had many thoughtful conversations about this country, and she has never failed to remind me that her mother is a fan of my writing. Whatever other political differences we have, she has always made it clear to me she would stand with LGBTQ people. It was a red line she refused to cross. Instead, she has made the inexplicable decision to endorse a man who views LGBTQ Americans as second-class citizens unworthy of full equality. I can't help but wonder what her mother must be thinking right now. I have no idea what has happened to the person I thought I knew, but clearly, she has completely taken leave of her senses in endorsing a Republican who is little more than a Trump sycophant -- less than 24 hours after promising me that she has not wavered from the bigger picture. I am disgusted with her cynicism and cowardice in this moment. God forgive me for trusting her. If you're a Michigan voter and as disgusted as I am, get to your polling place and vote for Dr. El-Sayed.

I've never seen multiple people close to a politician go "this seems to be a breakdown and fiance is a horrendous influence on her". It's easy for strangers on the internet to say this was personal and not ideologically driven, but the people who know her well are also saying it.
NEW Former Michigan Governor Jim Blanchard — a longtime friend and supporter of Haley Stevens — says he was having dinner on Friday with Stevens and her fiancé, and that Stevens was excited to attend the church service with Jim Clyburn and Abdul El-Sayed. Blanchard said that Stevens’ fiancé, Jason Turkish, began chiding her at the dinner. “He was working her over. The way he was saying it was, ‘Everyone is disappointed in you, they did everything they could to help you and then immediately after you lose the primary, you endorsed him.’” “He was all distraught,” he said. “He was all strung out about Abdul. I let her know, he’s not a good influence.” Blanchard remained in touch with Stevens throughout the weekend and expected her to attend the church service. He only found out from the news that she was at the service with Rogers and endorsing him. “Something snapped in her. And it snapped in 24 hours,” Blanchard told Zach Gorchow of State Affairs. “And I don’t know what.” Blanchard, clearly pained by the situation, said several times, “This is not the Haley I know.” He lamented Turkish’s “terrible political judgment.” Full Story: bit.ly/3UV80b7

History will remember that when voting rights were on the line in 2026, Paul Weiss and other law firms hid under the bed.
NEW: With midterm legal fights with Trump already underway, capitulating firms — including Paul Weiss, which had trumpeted it’s storied voting rights history — have chosen to sit on the sidelines and are not involved in major voting/election litigation.

I can be a Jew and abhor Islamophobia. I can support Israel's right to exist and reject Netanyahu's war crimes. I can condemn Hamas for October 7 and feel for Palestinian victims of the war. I can call out Abdul El-Sayed's relationship with Hasan Piker and still plainly see he's a better choice for our country than another Trump yes man enabler getting us into unjust wars and destroying our Democracy.
