Burnham bringing significant attention to Stand Up To Cancer, a charity that has helped raise $825 million globally for cancer charities, while highlighting the plight of literally millions of families forced to live through this, by spending a few hours where he lives with a camera crew.
And all the disingenuous grifters and haters out there can come up with is:
“Why is he on TV instead of solving all the UK’s problems?”
The problems he inherited.
Apparently, raising awareness for cancer charities for a couple of hours is only acceptable if you can simultaneously fix the economy, the NHS, housing, crime and every other problem in Britain.
Those few hours probably helped raise millions.
The manufactured outrage is pathetic.

I’m deeply saddened to hear that Pat Karney has died.
Pat gave nearly 50 years of his life to serving Manchester. He saw the city through some of its toughest times and played his part in the growth and transformation that followed.
I knew Pat for many years. He loved Manchester deeply and was a tireless champion for the people he represented.
I’ll miss him greatly. My thoughts are with his family and everyone who knew and loved him.

Absolutely devastated to hear of the passing of Pat Karney. He was full of stories and jokes, and he was so supportive of local journalists and had a massive impact on the city’s LGBTQ+ movement over the years. There was quite frankly no one like him. manchestereveningnews.co.uk/…

It has been 2 years since we learned of the passing of George Baldock. Our Starman represented United for 7 years, making over 200 league appearances and scoring some memorable goals in the process. You remain in our ❤️ George.

This is a fantastic development right in the heart of the district centre in Chorlton. 50 social rent properties for over 55s. It’s been so well built and thought out. It’s great for Chorlton residents. #chorlton
Brilliant to attend the opening of 50 new social rent homes in Chorlton on the former baths site.🏡
Built in partnership with @MSVHousing, these homes for local older people built to HAPPI design principles are a wonderful addition and investment in the local district centre.🌳

Today’s vote at the Green Party Conference crosses a line and is rightly being condemned across the political spectrum.
Labour will continue working to ensure Jewish communities are safe and have their rights upheld. We must rid our society of the scourge of antisemitism.

We were appalled to witness repeated homophobic abuse directed towards our players after today's match.
We will be reporting the behaviour we witnessed through appropriate channels and we stand in solidarity with those affected.
There is no place for homophobia in football.

We’re sorry to hear that @andyburnham’s father, Roy, has died having lived with Alzheimer’s disease. Our thoughts are with Andy and his family during this difficult time. 💙
By speaking candidly about his family’s experience with #dementia, the Prime Minister has helped shine a light on the impact of dementia, as well as the urgent need to improve dementia care and support.

The other (despite who knows what security concerns) rums a half marathon to raise funds for a homeless charity.

Huge congratulations to my friend @CarlAustinBehan
This is a big win. The people of Burnage have had 4 elections in 6 months - in the Gorton & Denton by-election, May elections, GM Mayoral by-election and now as Bev Craig stood down. We lost the first two (by quite a lot), now winning well shows the progress we are making and that Carl is so well known. Well done all!
