🎃The latest @Eagleton_RU / SSRS Garden State Panel Omnibus reveals that Halloween traditions are alive and well in New Jersey. 🍬Traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating remains the more common Halloween experience, particularly in Urban, Suburban and Exurban communities and among higher income households. Yet “trunk-or-treating” has become an important complementary tradition. The best news? Two-thirds of NJ adults who expect to get trick-or-treaters this year plan to hand out candy. 👻 Read more: ssrs.com/insights/halloween-…

A new @pewresearch survey finds that American voters generally expect the upcoming midterm elections across the country to be run and administered well, have confidence that election workers will handle ballots securely, and say the outcome will be clear after all the ballots are counted. But there continue to be wide partisan differences in perceptions of both how secure elections are against noncitizens casting ballots and whether eligible citizens who want to vote are able to do so. A new @HofstraU-SSRS poll finds Trump’s approval at 33% among suburbanites. In key majority-suburban districts that will determine control of the House, 35% of registered voters in swing suburban districts approve of Trump’s job performance, and only 12% strongly approve. Suburban Democrats report greater motivation to vote than Republicans, while dissatisfaction among younger voters does not consistently translate into Democratic support or plans to vote. news.hofstra.edu/2026/10/22/…

Widespread dissatisfaction with the state of the country has opened up a prime Senate pickup opportunity for Democrats in Ohio and made for a razor-thin contest in Iowa, according to new @CNN polls conducted by SSRS. Likely voters in these states now mostly disapprove of Trump’s handling of the presidency, say his policies have increased the cost of living, and that tariffs on foreign goods have largely been a negative for their states. cnn.com/2026/10/08/politics/…

@AP, in partnership with @KFF, polled more than 2,000 rural registered voters and found a divide on whether immigration policies have benefited or harmed their communities. About a third said the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement had been positive for their community, and about a third said it had been negative. The remaining 3 in 10, roughly, said it had no impact. Sampling, data-collection, and weighting was conducted by SSRS. apnews.com/article/rural-vot…
