Garrett Stubbs, the Phillies @MLBPA team rep today said about the salary-cap argument and certain owners
“Fans are smart.
I think the majority of fans realize [a salary cap]’s not going to solve the overarching issue of certain owners not caring about winning.
We have GMs or president of baseball ops literally coming out saying, ‘We want to win about 80-some games,’ and that’s their formula.
That’s embarrassing.”
