Culture is not measured in gimmicks or perks - it is shaped by the worst behaviours tolerated. It's not the bean bags, free beers, or company socials. It's way we handle micro-aggressions, the acceptance we show our teams and the diversity and psychological safety of a space.

If leaders want to retain great talent, they need to offer trust, autonomy and flexibility. The world of work is changing - and leaders need to keep up.

'Culture' isn’t what’s written in complicated policies. It's the way your team feel and behave in each and every interaction. 'Leadership' isn’t a natural skill of those promoted to management positions. It's a behaviour which must be taught, practiced and carefully considered.

As a leader, you don’t have a choice in being a role model. The only choice is whether to be a good or bad one.

Leadership is the acknowledgment of your team being both your biggest asset and your biggest responsibility.
