In 2004, a man from London sold everything he owned, down to his clothes, and put all $135,300 on a single spin of a roulette wheel in Las Vegas.
His name is Ashley Revell. In the video below, the casino manager at the Plaza asks him one last time: “Are you sure you want to make this bet with your life savings?”
He says yes.
The casino makes it clear they would never “knowingly condone or accept someone taking a wager of their entire life savings.” They let him do it anyway.
There are no tricks here. No system, no edge. Roulette has a house edge on every spin, and his odds of winning were just under 50/50.
He stands at the table and can’t decide. “What color, then?” “I don’t know.” “Oh man, too many decisions.”
Then he picks red. “Can I kiss it?”
The ball lands on 7. Red.
$135,300 became $270,600 in a few seconds. He used part of it to start an online poker company.
Was it the dumbest bet in Las Vegas history, or the smartest marketing stunt anyone ever pulled with their life savings?

Tackle football is one of those sports you don’t just go to the rec center to get a pickup game. Yes there’s flag leagues and 7v7 leagues but once you hang up the cleats organized football with the boys you grew up through high school with is done. There’s no experience like it and grateful to have those memories in hs & college.

The best Coaches in the country are taking a 2-8 roster and going 5-5 or 6-4, and no one is giving them the recognition for it!
Just know that others and I know that you're doing more with less!!

If you’ve ever coached, this video will hit home.
Chris Fowler: “Coaching is a calling more than a profession.”
Long hours. Real criticism. Sacrifices few see.
But the impact can last a lifetime.
That’s why we coach.

After losing 28 times in a row to their rivals, Bucyrus finally defeats Wynford!
FINAL: @BucyrusFootball 8, @WynfordRoyals 7
THE STREAK IS OVER! Redmen beat the Royals for the first time since 1997 thanks to a Ben Atwood INT on the final untimed play.

One of the best moves our program made this year…
Switching to a drone instead of the typical end zone cam.
Game changer!
