Not been on here for ages. Poor season so far isn't it? A lot of fans said 3 year plan. It all sounds good but it was obvious if we looked poor then a lot of those fans would lose patience. I was just waiting to see how we looked before getting excited. Below par so far

I wanted Skubala in more for what I'm seeing now. Imo the reason why we looked poor was more because of team selection and tactics. He's since getting it right. Burnley was impressive. End up lower mid table whilst this very impressive squad get used to each other? Nah fuck off

My only concern about that lineup is that the 3 midfielders are playing deep and it means you have Twine and Wallace on the break with Tolaj who can get away from people, but not exactly a scary break going on unless Knight is in the 10, and for me that makes more sense

Solid lineup. Knight in the 10 and Twine left? Yes Knight is quite clumsy with his passes but what he gives off the ball can be even more beneficial. Not like we are going to be feeding balls into his feet much in this game. And he'd be good at winning 2nd balls from Tolaj's work

Just to add, feeding Knight balls into feet in tight spaces in a low block kind of set up. I expect us to break so he will have to get passes right. But I can see the decision to play him higher if that is what is happening of course

Scott Twine's 100th game for us. Fans moaned about his complaining, trying to win free kicks just as Scott did which was seen as a good thing when Scott did it. Twine works hard in every sense. Runs, tracking, pressing, brave on the ball or to receive the ball. Excellent player

Watching Greenwood so far, is that what fans would have preferred? Come on now, the problem was the former decision makers. And that's okay if it makes sense. But some decisons were good, not all bad. Twine is one of the more positive decisions imo

Cardines RB would make Horvat a good option on the right. As Cardines would overlap and create space for Horvat to come inside and make intelligent short passes and get shots off that he does so well. Horvat very good option who works hard who could have a big part to play imo

Watching the game again. Greenwood to me going through the motions. Doesn't track or press with any real purpose. Not desperate to create space or show for the ball when we have it. When he did get the ball it was safe. Not showing bravery in his game. Trying to get away with it

Twine did more in one minute than Greenwood did in 69 coming off the left. Good pass to Tolaj who maybe could do better one on one on the angle. Good save

Greenwood really didn't want to block that shot then. Stayed back and gave the Preston player all the time and space to shoot and luckily it hit him anyway! He is a technically gifted player but not sure what he brings to this side so far. Early days though so may change

Greenwood has to do better. I think Bell offers higher work rate and more pace in that position. Or Yu left and Horvat right? Or even Twine left who would offer more quality coming inside and Horvat or Ballard in the 10. There are other options

No idea what Eile's crossing is like but rather like he is at centre back, he looks a classy player on the ball at right back. Touch and composure. Some nice passes so far from him as we have looked to get it down and pass the ball more than usual

Cardines pace then and lay off. Great pass from Eissat to Tolaj who then gets the ball from Cardines and provides the ball for Twine to score. Lovely start. Coyr
