Agree.
I enjoy that it gets dark earlier
The pressure to always be doing something subsides. Relaxing in front of the fire feels cozy. Warm, hearty meals inside are satisfying. There is a charm to the cold mixed with the dark.
This “dark” period allows us to appreciate the spring and summer more
Quit complaining and lean in folks

OPENING NIGHT FOR WVU HAVING THE SAME COACH AS THE PREVIOUS SEASON FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 2022
I’ll never understand this mentality.
Or why it needs to be reduced to race.
Or how little he knows about Pete Hegseth being a literal D1 basketball player. (Which means you’re pretty good).

Daughter Liv also had a great volleyball state tournament weekend.
She’s a freshman so she wasn’t expecting to even play, but they needed her to fill in some spots. She had multiple aces over the weekend and several kills and aces tonight in her state championship game. Played with some extreme ice in her veins in some really tough moments.
Unfortunately we lost the championship game in the 5th set-but im super proud of how her and the girls fought tonight and the last three days, and most definitely proud of Liv for meeting the moment when she was needed. (Which is a huge testament to her coaches).
Also, that completes my trifecta.
Now all three of my kids have won All Tournament awards over the last few years. 🤣
MJ senior year soccer. (And was a national tournament super-team for basketball as well)
Pat junior year soccer.
Liv 8th grade volleyball.
Not that I’m a proud dad or anything.
My boy Pat had himself a solid state tournament weekend and ended up getting the All Tournament vote.
Super proud of him and for his growth throughout the season.

Gina Linetti in Brooklyn 99 might be my least favorite “non bad guy” character in television history.
The amount of people on “the right” who continue to fall for an obvious satire account definitely don’t help out the “they believe anything Fox News tells them” tripe. 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Be better, people.
Soccer W for kid #2 in Beckley today.
Now over to Appalachian Bible College for kid #3 volleyball tournament.

Prediction:
Red Baron is going to meet the moment and help their employee out. (Rightfully so).
They’ll make him go viral in some capacity.
As the man rises, then some of the very people that wanted him helped out will then work to tear him back down.
An old tweet will surface, or maybe he voted the “wrong way,” or something similar. And he will end up losing everything that he is fighting so hard to keep right now.
I hope and pray I’m wrong. But people are horrible-and it’s a lot more people that are horrible than any of us want to admit.
Honestly, for his sake I hope he can maintain some anonymity. But he spoke for many that are struggling/have struggled with his displeasure in being used for rage and content bait while just trying to get through his day and feed/house his family.
And if it turns out that he really is a horrible person, that’s still not my point.
Florio wouldn’t mention this at all if they spoke at a Democrat event.
It’s a free country, dork.

I’m really, truly glad there is as much universal hatred for a particular insurance company’s ridiculous commercials as I personally have for them.
But the more they get called out by name the more of these moronic commercials they’re going to make.
Hate in silence, people. Make it go away.
The only finance rule to follow:
Spend less than you make.
Outside of that, finance rules are stupid.
Because they aren’t actually “rules.” They are “suggestions” or “opinions.”
And it doesn’t make them right. Or relevant for your situation.
So as an example: when some schmuck tells you to multiple your expenses by 25 and that’s your “freedom number,” you have to question why that is correct.
Do your expenses never change?
Does life never throw curveballs?
Does the market always return in a linear manner?
Etc.
Personal finance is not about rules.
It’s about building a plan that can go in and through any environment.
