Don’t worry the terrorists and 33,000 foreign nationals flagged for immigration removal, including 624 convicted of serious crimes can stay though.
Canada will get tough on young athletes. That should work.
Canada will deny entry to any Russian and Belarusian athletes and staff, as long as the war in Ukraine continues, as per Mark Carney
"If you're asking specifically about the World Junior's the Russians will not be there"

Cochrane Willful omissions yet again!
Once again, David Cochrane on Power & Politics introduces Ian Bremmer as simply “the president of the Eurasia Group”
No mention that Bremmer’s firm employed Diana Fox Carney (Mark Carney’s wife), Gerry Butts, and MP Evan Solomon. No mention of the million-plus in untendered Liberal government contracts
Bremmer: “Well, it is the economy, stupid… They have generally been hits against incumbents… This is all a hit on incumbents.”Governments fall over cost of living. Carney stayed upright with CBC’s endless “Trump, Trump and more Trump” election distraction
Selective disclosure isn’t disclosure. Willful omission of material ties between the guest and the government CBC depends on for funding and survival
Cash. Friends. Coverage. The pattern continues @brodiefenlon @CBCOmbud @cbcnews
Once again, CBC's Power and Politics doesn't disclose the boss of Carney's wife Diana Fox Carney, or Evan Solomon or Gerry Butts... or his Eurasia's untendered government contracts for a million plus...
Just "For more analysis on the war, I'm joined now by Ian Bremmer. He's the founder and president of the Eurasia Group. And Gzero Media"

Carney makes a face when being told that the Conservatives want him to have an ethics screen regarding his longtime friend Dan Goldberg of Telesat.
The media literally does nothing nowadays. Zero investigative journalism or Government accountability.
Carney plays this off like he wasn’t involved in any of it.
Please.
In 2024 Carney chaired the Liberal economic growth task force while the $2.4 billion dollar agreement between Telesat & the Government was finalized.
In March 2026, Carney was publicly promoting Telesat Lightspeed to foreign governments, including the UK, Australia, Norway and Japan. But nothing to see here of course.

At the Websters in Vancouver, Iran International journalist @NegarMojtahedi dedicated her Bill Good Award to “the people of Iran,” who continue to be imprisoned or killed by the Islamic Republic Regime for simply fighting for their freedom and seeking the truth.
We in the west often take for granted our ability to hold those in power accountable. Negar’s words tonight, and her work, are a sobering reminder that elsewhere in the world, journalists and civilians who embark on that quest often pay the ultimate price.

Canadians will likely hear this week that the immigration taps are being turned on again. It's unclear they were fully off in the first place.
In any event, keep the following chart in mind and ask yourself who that policy serves, because it certainly isn't the Labour Class.
Canada's Mass Immigration (2017 to 2025) was the worst economic policy decision in Canadian history.
It was NOT progressive; it was, in fact, extremely REGRESSIVE.
It transferred wealth and market power:
➡️from the Young to the Old,
➡️from the Poor to the Rich,
➡️from Labour to Corporations, and
➡️from the Renter Class to the Owner Class.
Prior to 2015, immigration to Canada was high and focused on high-skilled, high-wage labour.
In 2015, THIS government CHANGED the RULES, which shifted the focus to low-skilled, low-wage labour. This hurt the job prospects of young Canadians entering the labour market, put downward pressure on wages and lowered Canada's productivity. ➡️bankofcanada.ca/2025/05/staf…)
It also increased housing costs, particularly for renters, who tend to be poorer and younger. ➡️bankofcanada.ca/publications…
In short, it was horrific for the youngest, poorest and most vulnerable in our society. Never mind the social upheaval it caused.
Now that Job Vacancies have normalized and rents are falling, this government is floating the idea of raising immigration. It is outrageous. Worse, it is, again, being pitched as progressive when it is not. It hurts the Working Class; Bernie Sanders was right...youtu.be/vf-k6qOfXz0
The only thing that will improve the standard of living for working-class people is productivity growth. That's it.
