There's no better feeling than waking up and immediately being STOKED about your work.
This morning, i hate to admit, I was decently hungover (had a kickass event last night, more on that later)
But still, I woke up at 630 and was ready to run through a wall.
We're building something really unique at Not Your Dad's Media
And there's still a gaping hole in the market we're working to fill.
It's the liminal space between Higgsfield AI ads and high production, $100k+ TV commercials.
That space is: challenge ads, street interviews, product integrated experiences, Meta POV-style creatives, and more formats we're adding.
This is a challenge we're working on for _________
(can't share yet)
I am very stoked on it tho. will lyk how it turns out
This is the coldest-take of all time, but the Mexican food in NYC is....
Horrendously bad.
Shockingly bad.
And it's surprising. Because it doesn't seem that complex to make.
Being from San Diego - eating Mexican food is a seminal part of our existence. So not having it in NYC pains me everyday.
I wanna hear, what's your favorite Mexican place in NYC?
ps just had Electric Burrito, and it was good. Not amazing, but good.
A solid B+
Lemme hear it ⬇️
I've been stuck at grind central station for the past 12 months
Very few breaks, zero real vacations, just go go go (and i'm not complaining)
Now this isn't a "just grind harder bro" post... you can find those elsewhere
But I'm in Miami right now (work-cation) and here’s what I've learned about leaving my routine ⬇️
(#4 is the most important)
1) It forces me to think differently
New experiences = new patterns that unlock different parts of the brain = new ways to solve problems
2) Fun
I'm 26. I don't wanna let my 20's fly by without doing cool shit. And I don't think that has to come at the expense of building a biz im proud of.
3) Changing your environment is so fkn important
Leaving your environment is like running your entire life through a Brita filter. The unnecessary bullsh*t in your routine gets filtered out, and what's left is the gold that actually moves the needle.
4) Gets me out of delivery
The biggest problem we're experiencing is how I (the founder) can remove myself from delivery (at least in part). leaving the city where we operate forces me to delegate. because I physically can't do the work from here
to wrap, get out of your routine more often. It might be scary to do so cause you're "locked in"
but it'll help in the long run
I have 3 agents running at 30,000ft
One is building a framework I’ll send to clients
Another is rebuilding our back end ops
The other is scanning my LinkedIn and email for people I should hit up
All while I’m in a pressurized cabin, 30,000ft above the earth, marveling at the clouds, with a man eating Carl’s Jr right next to me
If this isn’t the best time ever to be alive, idk what is
Whats the Overton window on having {age + founder} in your bio?
21yr old founder sounds kinda cool
31yr old founder doesn’t hit the same
Miami, I’m about to be inside you…
Who should I meet?
What should I eat?
Where should I stay?
Lemme hear it
RIP to my DM's... but we need to hire another badass video editor or agency
Who you are:
- can handle a ton of volume and deliver content within 24hrs of receiving raw footage
- speaks english fluently, and can pick up on nuances of American culture
- preferably has edited street interviews before
- wants to join one of the fastest growing performance marketing agencies and learn what makes killer performance media
If you're looking for examples of what im talking about, check out the site:

How to apply: Hit my dm's for a test video - if it goes well, we'll bring you onboard!
Hit my DM's and i'll send raw footage for a test video!!
These challenge ads have been absolutely destroying everything else we've done at Not Your Dad's Media
We're seeing absolutely insane hook/hold rates.... like 2x higher than anything else in the account.
Here's how we're doing it - step by step 👀 ⬇️
1) Ask yourself: what's the goal of my audience?
is it to get rich? get jacked? lose weight?
2) Once you answer that, find the most extreme version of that archetype
3) Hire them to do crazy shit that highlights what their life could look like if they use your product
4) Create 10 variations of the video, cause you never know what's gonna hit
then rinse and repeat
A month ago, a competitor who runs a WAY bigger agency than I, commented two sh*tty things on one of my posts.
It was something to the affect of:
"do something original" and "wow, now you're stealing my organic content too? 🤣"
Then he went on to say "we're not even in the same league"
I was floored.
And very very surprised that someone would risk ruining their reputation over a linkedin post.
Well, here's what happened afterwards ⬇️
6 brands that followed him (and saw the comment) reached out and set a meeting with me - 4 turned into clients.
Basically that one comment led to about $20k of recurring revenue for Not Your Dad's Media
Moral of the story : Talking sh*t only ever looks bad on the person doing it.
And if you want your competitors to make more money, comment mean things on their posts. It will invariably lead to them signing more deals.
to the guy that commented: feel free to do so anytime ❤️
I'm 26yrs old (unc). Living in NYC. Founder of a future 9-figure agency.
Here's everything I did before Not Your Dad's Media ⬇️
> Age 18: tried dropshipping - kinda kicked ass for a while. Then it all blew up
> Age 19: led and grew the ski and snowboard club at CSU by 100% YoY
> Age 20: COVID hit, learned how to trade options. Market went up, thought i was god
> Age 21: got intro commercial real estate, selling apt buildings. Grinded, cold-called 300ppl per day, had to bartend, teach surf lessons, and cater to pay rent. brutal time
> Age 23: got a job in tech sales. made more money than i had ever made. gave me a $ foundation i needed and didn't have before. traveled a lot, partied, lived in Europe and Argentina, fun for a while, but got bored, zero regrets here.
> Age 24: got too comfortable, needed to build something, started Pink's. Scaled to just under $1M in revenue in a year. Kept creating content online
> Age 25: Doubled down on content, found the thing I really wanted to give 110% effort to (Not Your Dad's Media)
> Age 26: Scaling NYDM to just under $1M in year one, with the goal of blowing through $3M in year two (lofty goal, but were on a mission)
> Age 27: ??????
Moral of the story, I tried a bunch of different sh*t until I found the thing I wanted to sink my teeth into. So keep going. Make more content. Build a larger surface area for luck down the road.
yalla 🫡
My girlfriend texted Delta and said “hi can u pls put my boyfriend in the seat next to me? His name is jordan Winston and he’s currently in 23E”
I’m now sitting in 22C
You can just do things
Dear Founders and operators,
One singular ad format is absolutely not the answer to all of your problems...
And I think preaching one format as gospel is really friggin dumb and most agency owners are just shilling their bag when they do so
Street interviews are great
Challenge ads are great
AI ads can absolutely rip
But...
If you're asking which format is ripping for our clients right now?
It's the challenge-style ads.
"Every pull up is 1% off _____"
"Every head spin before the train comes is 1% off"
"Every flip on the subway before we get to the next stop is 5% off"
Now idk if these will rip forever
In fact im sure they won't and i'm sure they'll be less interesting over time
But for right now, holy sh!t 🔥
If you're an operator and you wanna test this format, hmu

October 7, 2023 was the biggest tragedy for the Jewish people since the holocaust.
1200 innocent people murdered in one day.
Festival goers, kids, women, it didn’t matter. Hamas got to every Israeli they could get their hands on.
Despicable, barbaric, and even more depressing that you have people in the west supporting it.
Sadly, Antisemitism is seeping into the veins of NYC
But that’s not stopping my fellow Jews from wearing it loud and proud
The time to dance again is now.
Because the harder they try to kill us, the louder and prouder we get.
Am yisrael chai 💙🤍
Ps This is a photo from my first time in Israel
Oh and I had hair back then

I'm starting a new series on my personal pages.
Basically just meeting cool Jews around the city and having meal with them.

I'm currently on a mission to meet every single founder in NYC
There's a lotta founders, so that might be hard
But a few days ago i met @ArjunMahadevan aka Mr. LLC, interrupted his phone call (sorry), then chatted with him about @doolaHQ
Arjun, you're a dawg
Who should i meet next?
