One of the positive things about Donald Trump is that he has made the rest of the world rethink their allegiances to the USA where possible. That has to be a good thing culturally, socially, economically and in terms of security. It is pushing the UK back towards the EU.

It seems hard to believe, but a number of councillors are quitting Reform UK, criticising the party for perceived flaws, including infighting, a lack of autonomy over local decisions and a “breathtaking” ignorance of local government.

We all need to pay our council tax to fund public services (too many paying too little in big houses that have been extended over the years). It needs reviewing urgently. It's a mess!
