The work, eleven years in, begins with honesty; the admission that Obergefell was not a neutral expansion of rights but a substitution of one set of duties for another, and that the duties it displaced were owed chiefly to children. thepublicdiscourse.com/2026/…

"Many people supported gay marriage in good faith, based on promises its advocates made.
Here are three assurances that are no longer so sure.
1LGBT people need marriage.
2Legalizing gay marriage will make LGBT people feel better.
3The kids will be all right."

Today, we find ourselves at a crossroads because the next decade and the decisions we make will write the story of the next century.
The course we take will determine whether the West maintains its place at the head of the world, or resigns itself to a future of atrophy, servitude, and decline.
We will either choose to act now, or lose the choice to act at all.
Under President Trump, the United States has made its choice.

SECRETARY RUBIO: For twenty-five centuries since, the Parthenon has stood. Empires have risen and fallen beneath its shadow.
And the progeny of the men who built it – the sons of Athens and Rome – have carried their civilization with them to the ends of the Earth.
Two and a half centuries after the founding of the American republic halfway across the world from where I stand now, I stand here today – as the Secretary of State of that republic, and as the great-grandson of settlers who arrived in the new world from Spain – I stand here to testify to a debt that no lapse of time, no distance of space, can ever extinguish.

Amazing! Praise the Lord!
Interest in IVF + egg freezing is tanking: "“From 2017 to this year, the share of respondents who said they would be willing to consider IVF fell by more than half, from 44 to 18 percent. Openness to egg freezing dropped from 33 to 17 percent.” 44 👉 18!

Failed influencer marriages make NYT headlines. Ordinary faithful marriages don't.
But out in ordinary America, churchgoers are markedly less likely to divorce. 👇🏽
An excellent book about an incredible Georgia native.
I asked Justice Thomas why he has been more willing than perhaps any justice in history to overturn wrongly decided precedent.
His answer was simple: if the first precedent is wrong, everything that follows it will be wrong.
Scalia used to tell him, “Clarence, you’re tilting at windmills.”
Thomas would answer, in mock seriousness: “Nino, windmills are dangerous.”
Clarence Thomas has written lonely 8–1 dissents. And over the years and decades, more and more of those dissents have become majority opinions.

At the airport, watching a dad with his probably seven-month-old. He has her in the air, shifting her around mechanically, like a robot. She’s kicking her legs and squealing.
Mom comes back from the bathroom and immediately straps the baby to her chest. She leans in and snuggles.
Nobody tells Dad to engage in stimulating play with his child. Nobody tells Mom to pull her close and soothe her.
They interact with the same child differently because men and women are different.
Children don't need two adults tossing them in the air. They don't need two parents soothing and comforting them. All stimulation and no security leaves them unmoored; all comfort and no challenge leaves them afraid to venture out.
Children need one parent who promotes attachment and one parent who promotes independence.
Children need a mother and a father.
A culture that treats either one as optional asks children to go without so adults can feel affirmed.

I signed this letter. And nothing I saw yesterday gave me confidence Dr. Overton is taking seriously the dangers of the Biden policy to allow abortion pills by mail.
50 pro-life leaders urged FDA nominee Dr. Heidi Overton to quickly restore earlier in-person safeguards on the abortion drug mifepristone. #ProLife #Mifepristone #FDA #WomensHealth #ChristianPost

This is neither honorable nor defensible in any way. Chumming it up with a human rights violator just to get the better of a former president and political opponent is manifestly undignified.

Why has support for gay marriage among Republicans dropped off a cliff in the last four years?
Yes, the T overplayed their hand and it's poisoning the LGB.
BUT ALSO
Conservatives hate seeing motherless babies on the hairy chests of men who bought them.
The hidden child trafficking.
Gay Marriage = Purchasing Children.
Katy Faust, @ThemBeforeUs , says society is reacting negatively to "seeing motherless babies" purchased through these arrangements. Is the commercialization of surrogacy a growing ethical concern, or does this overlook the reality of modern, loving families?

You’re right — it’s a really difficult topic. Many people wouldn’t exist if not for IVF. Many people wouldn’t have children if not for IVF. All life is a sacred gift from God. But we can say that and also be honest at the same time that the way IVF is practiced in this country is NOT conducive to life. In fact, we HAVE to, if we are going to be successful in protecting innocent, vulnerable, human life, which begins at the moment of fertilization (according to science!). The creation of unused embryos via IVF each and every year almost doubles the number of abortions that occur every year. It’s not easy to talk about. But we have to be honest. The millions of lives on ice deserve our honesty.
