Reform’s mistakes summed up: Saying horrifying things in private. Saying really dumb shit in public. So, now they’re finished, can we get back to real issues and do some policy that’s meaningful for our collective future?

I’ve been saying for ages that Reform will never be in power, here’s why: -Right wing vote the same as ever at ~45% -And is now split 3 ways -When people see or experience Reform it turns them off (doorstep, media, council power) -Reform polling peaked and plateaued already /1

-People hate Brexit (except 4 constituencies) -Reform councils all fail -Most people aren’t racist -Centre left vote is now coordinated against them So, our effort should be on getting more from the centre left parties /2

There’s a lot more detail and nuance of course, each point could be broken down further. But the point is, Reform isn’t a real threat except in one way: The policy pandering. Even though there’s a progressive majority of voters who should actually be pandered to. /3

The Sun is just straight up lying about immigration. Truth and data are not important, and they think the country is stupid. Unfortunately it’s blindingly obvious they’re just making things up now. The country sees through it. Rejoin the EU.

Burnham announces a commission on electoral reform in the 2029 manifesto, Making 2034 the first PR general election. But who knows what the commission will actually recommend? From the data today, it’s obvious people want: Proportional Representation. theguardian.com/politics/202…

On the up side, early retirement not looking too bad for Ed Sheeran celebsfortune.com/ed-sheeran… Imagine being that rich, and still being told what to do by the Epstein class. Imagine being that rich and not even looking up Palestine on Wikipedia while you’re sitting on the loo.

🚨 Can we all agree to totally ignore and destroy the “PolitlcsUK”* account everyone gets their news from now? It’s run by a REFORM COUNCILLOR, trickling bias and fabricated nonsense in under a neutral guise. Share this, drop it under friends reposts. 👀 Evidence in next post

Unfollow. Block. Report. Disinformation is destroying our country. *Yes they misspell it with an “l” on purpose on some platforms, “PolitlcsUK”, and it isn’t a copy account, this is the only one there’s ever been, block this one, there isn’t a legitimate one.

Days apart -Burnham doesn’t cap donations -Reform get record donations In addition: -Voter ID will remain needlessly, it’s estimated that 400k were denied vote in 2024 as result -Proportional Representation not in the “Representation of the People” bill making it an oxymoron

Andy Burnham’s first 100 days is Wednesday, 28 October 2026. What will you judge him on at that point?

Oooh a severe alert about wildfires from the government. Thing is, we’ve been issuing global alerts for decades that things like this would happen because of climate change. They’ve done basically nothing, and now have the gall to be this patronising. Infuriating.
