Days until #LSU Football: 30 🐅 LaRon Landry (DB, 2003–2006) — A four-year starter out of Hahnville who anchored the LSU secondary during the Tigers’ 2003 BCS National Championship season. Landry finished his career with 315 tackles, 12 interceptions and 8 sacks, earning consensus All-American honors in 2006 before being selected No. 6 overall by Washington in the 2007 NFL Draft. @MrLandry30 Josh Jasper (K/P, 2007–2010) — A Memphis native who left LSU as the most accurate kicker in school history at the time, converting 47 of 56 field-goal attempts. His senior season was one of the best ever by a Tiger kicker, as he made a school-record 28 field goals, including a perfect 5-for-5 performance against Mississippi State, earning First-Team All-SEC honors in 2010. Drew Alleman (K, 2008–2012) — A Lafayette native who accounted for all nine of LSU’s points in the Tigers’ 9–6 overtime victory over No. 2 Alabama in the 2011 “Game of the Century,” including the game-winning 25-yard field goal. He surpassed 100 points in both 2011 and 2012 and finished his career among LSU’s all-time leaders in field goals made. Greg Penn III (LB, 2021–2024) — A four-star recruit from DeMatha Catholic who developed into a three-year starter at linebacker, finishing his LSU career with 274 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks. He capped his career by wearing the prestigious No. 18 jersey as a senior in 2024.
