Refreshing to read about a man who walks the walk in this excellent profile of Ted Scott by my colleague Josh Berhow. golf.com/news/scottie-scheff…

He's Scottie Scheffler's caddie. But Ted Scott's story is so much bigger | News | GOLF.com

Ted Scott, the multiple-Masters-winning caddie for Scottie Scheffler, carries more than just the best bag in the world.

When he was a kid, Jackson Herrington rebounded from a serious eye injury. Now 19, he'll need a bounce back in the finals of the U.S Amateur. He's 4-down to Mason Howell through 11 holes of their 36-hole match.

Turned off John Daly Blvd in SF today and found John Daly II (no relation) warming up for US Am. Backswing way shorter than his dad's-- and on this swing, so was his follow through.

A cool sidelight to the U.S. Women's Amateur is seeing Bandon Dunes in a different light. Even if you've played it often, bet you've never dealt with this setup on the par-3 12th - shortened to 98 yards, with the flag just paces beyond a steep ridge.

If you're looking for a rooting interest in the U.S. Women's Amateur, you could do worse than Pimchompoo Chaisilprungruang, a delightful 19-year-old from Thailand. Not to worry. Her nickname is easy to pronounce.

These ain't gopher prints. At David McLay Kidd's golf course-in-the-making at Streamsong, signs of a creature Carl Spackler never had to deal with.

At the US Adaptive Open at Woodmont CC in Maryland. A quick scan of the practice green is a reminder: there are many ways to get it in the hole.

The start of Masters week seemed like a good time to revisit the story of the unlikely rise--and tragic fall--of the amateur golfer Jeff Thomas, who competed at Augusta in '94 and died 10 years later in a tumbledown motel near the club where he caddied. golf.com/news/features/jeff-…

Played with the great Boo Weekley this past week at the Punta Mita Invitational, and though I didn't get a swing tip, I learned something more important: how to imitate a baby alligator. #puntamita #puntamitainvitational
