Have to say it’s pretty annoying how with windows 10 you have to fire up windbg just to know what driver caused a bugcheck but at least it isn’t a huge ordeal to get it anymore?
If you had lastpass I recommend changing your master password and all passwords that were generated by lastpass.
Every time I see people talk about how HSR would never ever work in the US I’m reminded of the story of the original HSR line which went wildly over budget and was widely derided as a white elephant. Now the Tokaido Shinkansen is so busy they run 15 car trains every 5 minutes.
The reason to do HSR in the US is to relieve air congestion and possibly highway congestion for some people that would have flown but due to cost of last minute booking decide to drive. This is especially true in severe weather. Trains don’t crash from wind shear.
Twitter really is circling the drain. I’ll click on a tweet that supposedly has 20 replies and it’ll load none of them.
I don’t normally publicly comment on stuff like this but the Valve Index is probably the most you can pay for cheap garbage. One controller started drifting within a year, this just happened 19 months in. I have never seen a fatigue failure like this from normal use.
When did Marc Andreesen turn into another Stefan Constantine? Feels like the last few years has untethered a lot of people from social mores.
Remember when I was wondering if I could get this engine back together months ago? I’m still wondering.
I’ve never been much of a wrench or anything so it’s kind of scary to get an engine to this point. Fingers crossed I can actually get it back together now…
There is nothing more infuriating about US road design than stroads designed for 35+ but traffic signals and tons of driveways that reduce effective speeds to 20-25 mph, sometimes even lower.
In the span of a single 20 minute walk around the neighborhood I ran into 3 decatted cars driving past but hey auto enthusiasts couldn’t possibly be the problem here right?
Pro tip: if you ever find yourself doing a spark plug change, have a set of new coilpack boots ready and a can of silicone spray. Then use an air compressor to blow the seal so you aren’t spending hours yanking at a disintegrating boot.
