Elected officials answer to VOTERS…not billionaires, corporations, or wealthy donors.
Sen. Jon Ossoff is calling for a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United.
“We The People” must demand it.

Just a reminder that Hakeem Jeffries came out against Medicare for All literally just days after a study found that it would save 114,000 lives and $1 trillion a year

"So when you try to hurl that word 'liberal' at my feet as if it were something dirty, something to run away from, something that I should be ashamed of, it won't work, Senator. Because I will pick up that label and I will wear it as a badge of honor."

Hakeem Jeffries says Americans don’t want revenge. We want results. WTF?
Let me ask you something, Hakeem.
If a CEO embezzles millions from his employees’ retirement accounts, is prosecuting him an act of revenge? Or is it enforcing the law?
Accountability is not retaliation. Justice is not revenge. And enforcing the Constitution is not political persecution.

Martin Short's performance as Larry David is hands down the best acting I've seen in my entire life. For a long while I thought it actually was Larry David.
the nfl on fox panel has barely finished discussing the eagles game when they introduce their newest sideline reporter: george santos, a man whose football résumé apparently includes more championships than tom brady and statistics that seem to have been calculated by throwing several sports into a blender. bowen yang plays him with the confidence of somebody who believes a fact becomes official once it's delivered into a microphone. 36 completions out of 25 passes? twelve touchdowns, seventeen rebounds and ten rbis? why stop there? at this rate, he won the super bowl, the nba finals and the world series before lunch. the panel keeps asking ordinary questions, and santos keeps handing them extraordinary reasons to regret asking.

Riz Ahmed says Tom Cruise applauded him after a risky performance that completely missed the mark.
He recalls their first read-through, when Cruise suddenly stopped everyone to applaud the writers.
“I just want to applaud these writers for this script. I’ve read so much material in my life, and this is the most unique, fresh, bold, creative, urgent story I’ve read in a long time.”
Ahmed says that encouragement is typical of Cruise.
“He’s constantly stopping to encourage people.”
He experienced it firsthand after trying an unusual interpretation of his character that didn’t work.
“The director was like, ‘Yeah, I know, it didn’t work,’ and I was about to move on. Then he goes, ‘Wait,’ and started clapping.”
Instead of making him feel embarrassed, Cruise encouraged him to keep taking risks.
“It could have easily closed me off. I could have gone, ‘Oh, I made a fool of myself in front of Tom Cruise.’ Instead, he said, ‘No, no, no, more of that. Keep taking risks.’”
For Ahmed, Cruise leads by example, always willing to take risks himself.

Jennifer Welch: “I want to say this Chuck Schumer: we won in spite of you and we will do everything on this channel, everything, to make sure that you are not the Senate Majority Leader. You do not represent us. You’ve made it crystal clear who your loyalties are to. What you did to Angie Nixon, I will never ever forgive you. Quit taking victory laps on Twitter like you won this. Nobody likes you”
Talk about the most nothingburger nonsense you could do after embarrassingly losing Congress.
This really just happened. Trump signed an executive order saying no one in the future can make major modifications to the Oval Office or Cabinet Room without Congressional Approval.
This comes after he literally tore apart an entire wing of the White House without Congressional approval.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Trump signed a proclamation (not an executive order) designating the Oval Office and Cabinet Room a national monument. The text does not require congressional approval for modifications and explicitly allows presidents to redecorate.
