Also, if we really wanna get into this —
Matt Nagy went 12-4, 8-8, 8-8, 6-11 as a head coach.
His QBs were Mitch Trubisky and Justin Fields.
The Jets haven’t won 8+ in a season in 11 (!) years. They haven’t won 12+ since 1998.
Idk why this needed to be a thing but ok lol.
Congrats? Tensions got high in practice.
Beece Hall reveals that his #Jets teammates Sauce Gardner and Garrett Wilson almost got into a serious fight in the locker room during their rookie year before CJ Mosley stepped in to break it up.
"I think it was rookie year and that whole rookie year like me, Sauce, and Garrett were instantly going with the ones and they always did one-on-ones against each other every day."
"And then after practice one day, they were both like joking around talking and then next thing you know, like they both got super serious."
"Like I think Sauce is joking around how he beat Garrett up and then Garrett's like nah, like not going for it."
"And CJ Mosley, he came and he like broke it up like nah, cause they're like about to fight and they're in front of my locker."
"But I'm over there, I'm like if y'all don't like each other that much and y'all going to fight, like I ain't about to sit here and just watch y'all push each other."
"Like y'all might as well just go ahead and get it over with and then if you get beat up, now you know not to mess with him."
"If he beats you up, now he know he can beat you up whenever, so it's like all right, like let's get it over with."

The jets and browns both have -13 point differential through 7 weeks. One is 2-5, the other is 5-2. I’m not sure how that signals a non-competitive team.
Trading GW is somewhat fantasy brained. Good players have retired on bad teams for decades. Unless dude wants out, there is no need to do that. Trading him for essentially a second round pick is insanity.
I just don’t think an Aaron Glenn coached football team sitting at 2-5 through 7 weeks can be looked at as a competitive team.
I sympathize with jets fans I really do.
Your GM has set this football team up with the opportunity to finally build a sustainable winner. But what is the best approach?
Personally I would be trading breece hall and starting Braelon Allen.
I would trade Garrett Wilson.
I would confirm the number one pick on my franchise QB.
And I would replenish the roster with cost controlled young talent and supplement in free agency.
If the jets put up a soft outing after a quote like this, that tells you all you need to know about Glenn and his chances here.
Also, has Jeanty even done much this season?
Ashton Jeanty thinks some Jets defenders don’t want to tackle

Thanks
My read on the Garrett Wilson situation: He has not asked for a trade and doesn’t plan on asking for a trade. He likes the Jets and wants to stay here.
But he wants to win more than anything — that’s what matters to him.
So, if you’re the #Jets and you want to prevent any possible issue down the road … win.

We went thru like 5-6 regimes in the same time they went thru 2-3. That's why they landed that coach.
Giants ownership and front office are football people.
Jets ownershp and front office are non-football people.
We don't get to have the John Harboughs of the world, that guy would never come here.
I know you must be excited too.
Gase is one of the like two coaches since 2000 the jets employed who had a 6-2 or better stretch
Gase was a worse hire for the #Jets but he is not as bad as Glenn as a head coach.
Giants played the 2-4 cowboys, the 2-4 saints, the 2-4 cardinals, and the 1-5 titans.
They also have John Harbaugh.
Losing teams find ways to lose. That’s the “culture” everyone talks about. It’s not that the locker room or building is filled with bad players/people. I’ve seen that before — not the case at all.
But this team, in what will be a 16-year absence from the playoffs, waits for the other shoe to drop. Expects it.
Saying things have changed or saying things are different doesn’t mean anything. Talk is cheap. There needs to be a seismic shift in the mental makeup of that team.
Jets fans don’t want to hear it, but you can compare it right across town to what John Harbaugh brought the Giants.
You can make argument (top to bottom in current state) that the Jets have a better roster.
Why are Giants 4-2-1 vs 2-5 Jets?
This is nice but at some point when can people actually expect the team to win.
Demario Davis was asked about the perception that the Jets are going in the wrong direction and the frustration of Jets fans:
"I understand fans being upset or being agitated. I think saying 'going in the wrong direction' is a very far-off statement. When you talk about building something, if you come over and look at our facility, part of our facility is gutted right now. It's being built.
When you're building, you have to have an understanding of what it means to lay a foundation. I think when you watch our team, what you see more than anything is the character of our team. You see the resilience, you see the fight for four quarters in every game, despite our record. You see the way that guys are fighting."
They can’t beat the teams they play twice a year.
Aaron Glenn says he understands the fans’ frustration, but he insists the team is headed in the right direction. #Jets
Could you name 3 Miami skill players before today?
