It's late October, and there are a lot of 1Ls who feel like they're not good at law and that their peers are much more advanced than they are. Just a reminder that it often takes longer for many 1Ls for law to "click"—it certainly took longer for me. youtube.com/shorts/k0Y1Z9tSY…

I’m finishing up the final edits to my latest article, which will be published next year in @NotreDameJLEPP. I greatly appreciate @_jimmymurphy—and the other fine folks at this outstanding journal—reaching out and inviting me to write this piece. I hope many of you will enjoy reading it.
It’s been a challenging year for @SamfordFootball, but beating @PaladinFootball is always sweet.

The setting for this morning’s argument before the Colorado Suprrme Court. It was a complete treat to argue in front of a room of very engaged high school students. Other courts (including, dare I say it, federal courts) should do this too.

As public servants we should not hide from those who elected us to our court. We should use social media, as has @JudgeDillard, to educate the public about the judiciary. And specifically, our court’s work on which we sit. #publicservants #thirdbranch #ruleoflaw

Love this! When I took the bench in 2015, many colleagues insisted I delete all social media accounts because judges should not be on social media, period. I’m pleased to say that attitude has shifted to be much more in favor of engagement.
