Before the bloom (I of III) Having so much potential but nothing much to show for it yet. To have dreams, ideas and ambitions you're working towards, even when the results aren't coming as quickly as you'd hoped. That's what inspired this painting. The flowers represent the things we carry within us: the dreams we're working towards, the ideas we're nurturing and the efforts we're making, even when nobody can see what they're leading to. She is holding them, but she isn't smiling. She is still in the process of becoming, so much ahead of her, but she hasn't quite seen what all she's carrying will become. To those still trying, don't let where you are right now make you doubt what you're capable of. You're allowed to take your time. Keep going. And to those who have already found success, remember that you were once trying, too. There was a time when you had dreams and plans but hadn't seen the results yet. Sometimes, we get so caught up in where we want to be that we forget how much it takes to get there. Not everything happens overnight. And just because you haven't seen the results doesn't mean your efforts are wasted. This is the first painting in my three-piece series, BEFORE THE BLOOM, exploring human potential, patience, ambition and the things we carry while becoming. Series: BEFORE THE BLOOM (I of III) Title: The Weight of Becoming Medium: Acrylic on canvas Size: 61 × 91 cm

Where are those people who said Abdul is a “progressive Muslim”? Is it possible for a believer & adherent of Sharia Law to be progressive?
U.S Senator Abdul El-Sayed says banning Sharia Law in America is White Supremacy. There should be no Muslim in any position of power in the West. Islam is incompatible with Western morals & values & Western Civilisation.

ATTENTION: I hope we now understand the reason behind ADC's deafening silence. Forgive me for thinking too deeply. I have always preferred logic and critical thinking to emotional reasoning. Look at the electoral arithmetic. It is no secret that Atiku Abubakar remains a dominant political favourite in the Muslim North. A substantial proportion of his electoral strength is concentrated there. In contrast, religious sentiment is less likely to be a decisive voting factor for him in the South. Now, if APC must reclaim some northern states and secure the constitutionally required 25% in others, Atiku becomes a major obstacle. And that brings us to an important question: Why Atiku and not Peter Obi? Because Obi is a known national favourite with considerable cross-regional appeal. Disqualifying him would be a much harder political assignment, attract greater public outrage and potentially trigger a nationwide backlash. Atiku, on the other hand, presents a different political calculation. Neutralising his candidacy could create an opportunity to fragment or harvest a significant portion of his northern electorate. And tell me, was it really a coincidence that barely 90 days before the election, Bola Tinubu travelled to Mecca and made a public spectacle of his encounter with the Black Stone? The political symbolism was hardly subtle. It was a message to a religiously sensitive electorate, particularly in the Muslim North. APC understands that the game is not necessarily to win hearts and minds everywhere. It is to manipulate the electoral arithmetic sufficiently to secure victory. Consider the possibility: weaken the opposition in the South, eliminate its strongest competing northern structure, and position the incumbent to harvest the resulting political vacuum through persuasion, political alliances or electoral manipulation. If the numbers must add up, Atiku's electorate must be accounted for. But here is where the plot could become even more interesting. The only way to completely deny the incumbent the electoral advantage of Atiku's northern voting bloc would be for Atiku to publicly collapse his political structure in support of the NDC. Yet, in the unlikely event that this happens, would Atiku be dismantling the very political structure that could have stood between Tinubu and a northern electoral advantage? He might inadvertently become an accomplice to the very electoral outcome he would be seeking to prevent. And considering the painfully sluggish nature of our judicial system, I struggle to see how any further legal hurdles could be resolved in time to reverse the political consequences. At the moment, the biggest political victories are not achieved by defeating your opponent at the polls, but by engineering the circumstances in which your opponent defeats himself. 👩🏽‍🦯👩🏽‍🦯👩🏽‍🦯

The night Deborah was burnt to death by her classmates changed my view on Islam forever. Professors, doctors, lawyers, pilots and educated folks on Twitter defended her killers because it is Hadith. South-West Muslims were talking about reading the room. I will never forget.

I can't believe what I'm seeing 😲 What the hell is wrong with Nigerian Christians? Each time Christians are killed in Nigeria, you wonder why the Muslims don't publicly condemn the act. Why are you all defending the people who would not think twice before killing you? Haaaaa

What is wrong if someone is scared that a supposed government elected official might not be able to protect or defend citizens rights due to his religious bias? Did you all not scream when Atiku deleted his tweet when Deborah was murdered?

I hope the pillorying of the crashed Learjet female copilot has shown all of you that feminists were right about what we trying to warn everyone about for years: So many men hate women to the point that they are incapable of logical thinking. These men are operating purely off their spiteful emotions. So many men hate women so much they are willing to lie and pervert any situation in order to blame the woman. So many men hate women so much, they lied that Nathalia Gadelha, the copilot who was doing her job to the very end, crashed the plane and lied that it’s because she was a female pilot. So many men hate women, that when the news reported that the pilot was actually a 55 year old man, men have now switched tactics and are lying that Nathalia was drunk, lying that she was on her phone using TikTok and she distracted the male pilot. Men even lied that the pilot was Nathalia’s boyfriend and that the plane crashed because she was going on the trip to sleep with an old year old man and he couldn’t concentrate because of her! How can you slander an innocent young woman like this???? SO MANY MEN HATE WOMEN THEY ARE SWITCHING LIES IN REAL TIME TO KEEP THE BLAME ON THE YOUNG WOMAN AS EACH OF THEIR PREVIOUS LIES IS BEING DEBUNKED. This is a pathological level of lying that is driven by a society wide rotten sickness of hating women. These men do not want to allow that poor girl to rest in peace even though she did nothing wrong. They decided she must be at fault because she was a woman from the first moment the plane was reported crashed, and they have been lying like lunatics to defend that position ever since.

Every Single day , Something on X reminds you to take your Hustle seriously as a woman otherwise Na abuse and gross disrespect staring bare face at you . A husband demanding wife be sacked at work A Colleague getting triggered for being told not to use endearment A Man demanding a grown adult shut down on major social media platforms where He maintain presence You actually wonder whether they see you as HUMAN enough But ultimately it’s your choice what you do with your life as a woman , mine and ours is just to remind you to be worthy enough to choose to respect yourself Wishing us all well ultimately and hoping we end it all with no regrets, that will be the joy and fulfilment

Then there’s the monthly performance rating. I remember someone complaining that someone rated her 2/5 on integrity. She was like, “HR has to give me the details of this person because how can you rate my integrity 2/5? Did I steal your money?” 😭 You enter the corporate world with all your good grades and academic achievements, thinking that being intelligent and hardworking will naturally make things easier. Only for you to realise that there’s a whole other side to working that nobody prepared you for. You have to deal with office politics, manage people’s expectations, meet deadlines, deliver results under pressure and, sometimes, figure out how to stay on your boss’s good side. If you no sabi, you go first think say your village people dey on top your matter. I sit in meetings and watch people sweat profusely under AC. If dem explain 9–5 give you, you no fit fully understand am until you enter there yourself. 😭
First it was CGPA, now it’s KPI.

A wife is supposed to remind her husband to take of His family A wife is supposed to cover her husband’s shame A wife should not let people know she is the one providing for the household A wife should say her husband bought a gift for her even when he didn’t All Nonsense!!!
One skill nobody will teach you as a married woman is sending your money to your family during festive periods or when you know they need support and telling them “my husband said I should give it to you.”

One thing I would like to see more of is women being vocal about their contributions to the family. Not in a condescending or disrespectful way, but simply making sure their contributions are acknowledged. When you contribute to building a family, you or your husband should make it known. This culture of protecting a husband’s dignity by keeping a wife’s contributions quiet is part of why people come online and act as though women contribute absolutely nothing to their families. While he was putting most of his income into building a house, you were paying the children’s school fees, sending money to his family or yours, and keeping the household running. While he was saving up to buy a car, you were making sure the house was stocked with food. You were both building that family, just in different ways. But because people only see the husband’s visible investments, they conveniently ignore the wife’s sacrifices. And when something happens to him, suddenly, everything is described as the product of his sweat, as though his wife was merely a spectator in the life they built together. This is how society reduces women’s value to childbearing while overlooking their financial and non-financial contributions. It is also why widows and widowers are often treated so differently. Women need to stop allowing their contributions to become invisible in the name of protecting their husbands’ image. A family is built by a team, and both people’s sacrifices deserve to be acknowledged
One skill nobody will teach you as a married woman is sending your money to your family during festive periods or when you know they need support and telling them “my husband said I should give it to you.”

Liatu Samuel Dawa has been sentenced to 14 years imprisonment. She did not kill, She did not steal, She did not lie nor abuse anyone, Her only crime is coming from Northern Nigeria, telling someone about Jesus the Savior and the person becoming a Christian. In many let’s of Arewa North, it’s a criminal offence punishable by death for a Muslim to convert to Christianity. Nothing must happen to Liatu Samuel Dawa. We will collectively follow up on this case and make sure she gets justice.
