In addition, I have tasked @FLDEPNews to work with the @SJRWMD to designate wildlife drive and trail system within Lake Apopka North Shore as the John Anderson Wildlife Drive and Trail System.

The wording of the County Charter Amendment on Clay County ballots does not fully explain the proposed change.
Let me clarify the Amendment:
Years ago County Commissioner annual salaries were capped at $37,000 (plus benefits).
The Amendment would remove that cap, raising County Commissioner annual salaries to $97,000 (plus benefits) with increases each year.
A YES vote raises County Commissioner salaries to $97,000+
A NO vote keeps County Commissioner salaries at $37,000 unless VOTERS approve a raise.

The price of food is out of control! I know my family feels it. Most people don’t realize that a good part of the cost of the eggs you eat, the strawberries you enjoy and the beef you grill has a insanely unfair hidden tax attached to it. I ran this bill to help make a difference now it’s your turn!
Every year, farmers and ranchers are required to pay high taxes again and again on the equipment, they already own and have paid sales tax on. Read that again! Worst part is that cost gets passed on to you in order for them to stay in business.
The deck is stacked against our Ag industry! Why do we purposefully make it harder? We have a real chance this year of making that unfair and confiscatory tax go away. Vote YES to keep farmers in the field and groceries on our table!

In 1980 the voters approved a Homestead Exemption increase from $5,000 to $25,000.
In 2008 the voters approved a Homestead Exemption increase from $25,000 to $50,000.
But home values and property taxes keep going up year after year.
Now in 2026 voters have the opportunity to increase the exemption from $50,000 to $150,000 then to $250,000.
Some local elected officials claimed disaster would strike in 1980. It didn’t. They claimed in 2008 that local governments would be unable to function. Yet, they functioned just fine - and revenues kept growing.
Local officials cried wolf in 1980 and in 2008. They are doing it again now. Don’t believe the scare tactics from bureaucrats.
Stop renting your home from the government. VOTE YES ON 3!
