Good for her, likely very well deserved. …but boy howdy I’d be surprised if there isn’t a non compete clause being broken here that openai is going to get sued for.
Some news: I’m joining OpenAI to lead product management for Core Products! I have a lot of respect for OpenAI for showing the world that scaling works, for bringing AI to over a billion people, and for believing great products are core to the mission. I’m excited to work with @thsottiaux, an incredible PM team, and everyone across OpenAI. Together, we’ll build agents that have your back and your team’s, and keep you in control, so you get more time for the people and work you love. Lots to learn, and lots to build. Please keep your feedback coming!

IDK who needs to hear this but you don’t need to fight the Tree Sentinel at the start of your run.

Every tech bro rn
🤖 Made with AI
People should always be in control of the future. OpenAI is against the notion that it would be acceptable for people to be relegated to a role of doing things that “AI systems think makes sense to reward in humans”. People should not cede control of the future to superintelligence, and that requirement should ultimately constrain AI progress.

don't threaten me with a good time

The term "software factory" is so lame IMO. Human-driven development is still important for tools used by humans.
Amp is not and could never be built by a factory. It's built by an awesome team of people who care so, so much and obsess over getting things right (and the agents pointed in the right direction).

Ooh all new possibilities unlocked for sci fi stories. “In other news, the final member of the Mars colony crew has also contracted mesothelioma.”
NEW - NASA’s Mars rover, Perseverance, finds that Martian dust is smaller and more dangerous than previously thought, with the ultrafine particles able to stick to spacesuit materials, be carried into living areas, and bypass the human blood-brain barrier.

Parents, be careful with candy your kids bring home. My neighbor just looked through his kid's haul and found vials of the Old Blood, discovered by the Healing Church in the Labyrinth of the Pthumerians

I need someone at ActBlue to understand that probably the biggest thing keeping me from donating to campaigns through that service more often is the number of fucking texts I get afterwards.

Been beta testing this. So nice not to have to juggle worktrees or worry about simulator contention.
Amp now has macOS Satellites! Agents can now spawn Macs and build, test and run your iOS and macOS applications on them. Rolling out now. ampcode.com/news/macos-satel…

every time I think about slack’s architecture this image comes to mind
it is honestly quite baffling to me that openai and anthropic still use slack. i expect this will change within the next six months. they could quite clearly build and maintain internal versions that are *more* secure, robust, and featureful with a team of ~10

He may be right, but reminder: this guy works for a company that sells a super expensive security bot.
as bad as things have gotten in the past 4 days, they are going to get a lot worse before they get better. security leaders, never let a crisis go to waste: please go to your boards and ask for help right now. not for ai, for the basics. (we need to hold on for ~18 months.)

I suspect @AmpCode is my endgame agent harness. Now just have to convince my coworkers to get onboard. 🙃
