I walked into the EWN newsroom as a 20 year old three years ago, and Tshidi immediately took me under her wing. She trained me, mentored me and mothered me.
She was much more than a manager. From career guidance to life advice, we spoke about everything.
I’m shattered, Tshidi.
Trained by the best in the game! Rest Eazy, Tshidi Madia❤️🕊️ @tshidi_lee

@ewnreporter @JusstAlpha Tshidi Madia would have been proud of you.
They’re a public broadcaster. Probably one of the best in the world

I've been following South Africa's elections these past days from Lusaka. I must admit, this is the best State TV in Africa.
They air opposition parties freely, give them coverage and let them even critic however they wish.
South Africa is a proper democracy. Get your flowers
Oh man! I’ve been nominated for the South African Telkom Radio Awards under the “broadcast journalist of the year” category. It’s all by the Grace of my mighty God🥹❤️
In Ekurhuleni, 8% of the voting districts have been counted.
The DA is leading the pack with 41%. The ANC is behind it with 16% and ActionSA with 14%.
Please note that things could change as more votes come in. @ewnreporter
With 8% of voting districts counted in Tshwane, ActionSA is leading the race in the Capital City with 29%.
The ANC is behind the green party with 27%, with the DA only at 18%.
However, things could change as more votes come in. @ewnreporter
With only 7% of voting districts in Johannesburg counted, the DA is currently leading with 44%.
ActionSA is in second place, followed by the ANC in third.
However, there is still a long way to go, and the picture could change significantly as more results come in. @ewnreporter

Action SA has made history. It has won wards in Laingsburg in the Western Cape. The Green Umbrella has definitely worked in the Central Karoo.

.@WorldSportsBet walked into a preschool classroom, in front of young children, to promote its brand, spin a prize wheel and reward a teacher for having an active betting account. How was this approved? @tumisole @shufflesdu, please help me share this far and wide!

IF SOUTH AFRICA WERE EXCLUDED FROM AGOA, the country would face an additional Most Favoured Nation tariff of around 3.4% on top of the existing tariffs the current U.S. Administration added to various countries.
Currently, some South African products enter the U.S. market at 12.5% tariffs (Liberation Day tariff). Without AGOA, these tariffs would rise to 15.9%, slightly reducing the competitiveness of South African agricultural products in the U.S. market.
Still, one could argue that while this would be a challenging path, IT WOULD NOT NECESSARILY BE AS CATASTROPHIC as we have faced in the past, when it faced much higher U.S. tariffs and still managed to compete.
For example, in 2025, those of us in the South African farming sector faced tariffs of around 30%. Still, exports to the U.S. were strong. South Africa’s agricultural exports to the U.S. in 2025 totalled US$504 million, down 3% from the previous year.
