@claudeai + WordPress.com MCP is 🔥
I created three completely different @WooCommerce product page layouts just by chatting. Each one designed around the product, giving it room to shine.
Describe what you want. Watch your store take shape 💪

Ever wondered what WordPress actually looked like back in 2003, when it first launched? I got curious too.
So I pulled WordPress 0.71 into 2025 and fired it up, just to see how it really felt to use.

I needed a quick way to spin up @WooCommerce sites for bug triaging, but Blueprint URLs can be long and hard to remember.
So I made a @raycast script. Type "Woo", hit enter, and it launches a brand new Playground site with WooCommerce, Query Monitor, and 25 products/orders already populated!
If there's interest, I'll write up how to set it up. The blueprint is totally configurable, so it works for any Playground setup, not just WooCommerce.

Happy holidays from all of us at Automattic! 💙
Whether you’re part of our globe-spanning, 110-language-speaking team or one of the millions of people who use and build on our open-source products, we hope the season treats you well.
Here’s to another year of democratizing publishing, commerce, and messaging…and to making the web a better place in 2026. 🎊
🪄 great reminder. And that same "5-minute" store can do millions in sales a few months later.
There are always a few loud voices who like to grumble about WooCommerce. There are always loud voices about everything. It is one of the great constants in life, like gravity or the existence of socks that vanish in the wash.
Back when I ran face to face WordPress training courses, I used to finish the day with the plugins session. This was already the point when half the room was wondering if their brains had turned into warm porridge. Then I would say, very casually, that we were going to build an online store in about five minutes.
Five minutes.
People would stare at me the way you stare at a magician who claims he can pull a live alpaca out of a hat. Then I would open WooCommerce, click a few buttons, and boom. Store.
Every time I did this, the reaction was the same. Gasps. Shock. The kind of expressions normally reserved for witnessing a royal wedding or discovering a forgotten doughnut in the kitchen.
It is easy to forget how life changing WooCommerce has been for millions of people. You see it up close though and you never forget it. Something that takes roughly as long as making a cup of tea suddenly gives someone a shot at independence or a way to support their family or a reason to believe that their idea might actually work. That isn’t just impressive. It is the sort of quiet magic that changes the course of real lives.

Replying to @stripe
@stripe announced @WooCommerce as a key partner for agentic commerce at #StripeTour NYC today.
Behind the scenes, we've been working hard to make sure that WooCommerce sits at the center of the open commerce ecosystem in the AI era.
There's a lot more to come. MCP shipping soon is just the beginning.

Just asked Telex AI to build me a block for a buttery smooth graduated text effect.
A few words in, and boom 💥
No coding, just vibes. #WordPress #AI
I like these examples of how Telex is being used:

Today’s @automattic Telex AI experiment blew me away. I asked it to build a block that grabs URL parameters and generates personalised pages. Two prompts later...done. 🚀
It’s incredible what’s becoming possible 🔥
