I have a message for my colleagues in the House.  Democrats, don’t tell me about a majority, show me a majority. Don't just talk about healthcare justice, pass Medicare for all.  Don't just talk about abortion justice, pass the EACH Act and repeal the Hyde Amendment.  Don't just talk about Black lives mattering, enact reparations now.  Don't just talk about ending ICE terror, take every last dollar from them and abolish it.

💰Since 2017, police funding has increased rapidly, now costing the U.S. more than $200 billion a year. Keep that in mind the next time somebody tries to use calls to "defund the police" as a scapegoat.

Women in state prison are more likely to have a disability, struggle with mental health, and been unhoused as a child. By almost any measure, women in prison are worse off than men — leading up to and during incarceration. Prison is no answer for marginalized, traumatized women.

The White House’s proposal to penalize nonprofits that help disabled people vote is just part of the Trump administration’s broader attempts to restrict voting access, especially among groups that have historically faced disenfranchisement. propublica.org/article/disab…

So, did you miss this?? Did you know a major Enbridge pipeline spill happened on August 25 — the largest oil and gas spill Wisconsin has seen in 50 years? It happened just miles from the Bad River Band’s reservation, weeks after they beat Enbridge in federal court. Now the tribe and allies across the Great Lakes are raising the alarm of what they’ve said all along— and most of the world still doesn’t know it happened. In 2025, 124 deaths of environmental defenders were documented worldwide, a toll researchers say is likely only a fraction of the total number because repression and armed conflict make many deaths impossible to verify. Via @insideclimate truthout.org/articles/every-…

In Alligator Alcatraz, detainees were being punished with something called “the box” an enclosed space in which they were shackled and left outdoors for hours, exposed to the heat and mosquitoes. There’s now a photos. Amnesty International determined this constituted torture.

Currently, the Tohono O’odham reservation in Arizona has armed federal agents patrolling around blocking and stopping anyone on roads that are on tribal lands. We are seeing an occupation of my homelands in real time and no one is batting an eye.
