It was always a tax, meant to exploit us, the adults now, who were children & teens when the contracts were drawn up. They knew they were exploited a demographic ineligible to vote or participate in scrutiny. We’re old enough now and we’ve had enough. Write off the loans.
The combined tuition fees of the entire Question Time panel would not cover my cost for 1 year of uni. Is that fair?

We're all vulnerable to disability. It doesn't matter how many vitamins you take, if you eat a raw diet, if you add ginger to everything, or whatever wellness grift you try, disability will happen by either accident, illness, or age. Everyone benefits from disability justice.

Rest in peace to Dr Aggrey Burke, the NHS’ first Black consultant psychiatrist.  Here's a very good piece from 2022 which maps out his life and formidable career. A truly significant figure in Black British history who deserves continued recognition. theguardian.com/society/2022…

Absolutely devastating news.
We are heartbroken to share that our client and friend, Marcus Fakana, tragically lost his life in a car accident in Tottenham after his release from Dubai jail. His loss is a painful reminder of how precious life is and how unnecessary imprisonment robs people of time they can never regain. Every day of freedom matters. 🕊️ Rest in Peace, Marcus. #MarcusFakana #Dubai #Tottenham

This is why I’ve always said that International Women’s Day is not a holiday to be celebrated or reduced to tokenism. It's a reminder. Stop handing out cakes and party packs in the office while ignoring issues like workplace harassment, unequal pay, or systemic discrimination.

Experts now believe that human females undergo menopause precisely so that women can stop reproducing and then focus on passing down information and family bonds as grandmothers/elderly clan women. Grans have always been the way tribes have learned and continued vital information

1/ 🧵 Aneurin Bevan, born on this day in 1897. As Labour's Minister of Health and Housing, 1945-51, he built 805,000 council houses whilst insisting on high standards: homes were one-third bigger than the pre-war average, a three-bed home had two inside toilets.

Speaking about HE organising in UCU & where we are tonight at 6pm. Not going to pretend to have all answers & hope others will join to discuss but given our national leader/s have failed & abdicated responsibility we need to talk & organise ourselves. eventbrite.co.uk/e/wars-of-p…

on a very basic level idk how they expect doctors to confirm period pain - or any pain, for that matter - beyond ‘the patient says they’re in pain’
