So I think I can safely say I'm done here and will only be using this to monitor companies/accounts who haven't made the switch yet. So if you want to follow me where the skies are blue, here you go. Once I no longer need this, I'll be closing up shop here.

I made a patch that fixes the blurry picture of IIDX (9th–16th) on PS2. It changes the game’s video output code so the game outputs the picture in native 480p, making it much sharper than the original. If you’re interested, check out the link below. github.com/blurtic2/iidx-ps2…

Starting to get my first wave of ZINRAI videos up. Some are at 30 FPS as I'm figuring out recording offscreen. #IIDX 9-1 SPH - AAA Full Combo youtu.be/ANhREOOu9Ns?is=QGev…

Thinking I might start shooting and uploading some Zinrai videos to YouTube. After all, this is the first mix I've had access to when it launched. #IIDX

Just finished my final play of Sparkle Shower. Having been dormant for a while, it was a fantastic mix to come back to and was very refreshing in every aspect. Sayonara, Sparkle Shower. You were an awesome style! #IIDX

I'm so looking forward to being able to play a new IIDX release, in arcades, for the first time.

I remember listening to @DollyParton a lot growing up. Today hurts. Rest in peace, #Dolly. The world lost a true angel.

It wasn't until I found INFINITAS during the pandemic that I was able to play at home again, and Minnesota only recently got it's first official IIDX cabinet in the entire state in May.

Hopefully this provides some insight as an international player, and as someone who's been around the scene for more than 20 years.

To follow and keep up with the series 'officially', my only option was to play on PS2. So when the Konamistyle survey for 7th Style happened, I signed on and helped spread the word so it would be produced.

Since then, I bought every release of IIDX for the PS2 up until the last one; EMPRESS + PREMIUM BEST. I also bought the US version, which only ever saw one release because of lack of sales. When Konami stopped bringing games home, I was effectively cut off.

I discovered my favorite, Beatmania IIDX, via simulator, and then proceeded to import a PS2, controller and 5th Style. There was no arcade I could go to in order to play Beatmania IIDX in Minnesota. Operators had no interest or ability to import a cabinet.

The nearest arcade with a Beatmania IIDX cabinet to Minnesota for many years was located in Omaha, Nebraska, which is an over 370 mile (600km) drive that takes about 6 hours one way. That meant expenses other than just credits, such as food, gas and lodging.

I've lived in the midwest United States my entire life. Most of those years have been in Minnesota. When I first started playing Bemani in high school, circa 2002, the only game we had access to in any easy capacity was DDR.
