The lesson here is that Parliamentary elections matter just as much as Presidential ones. Presidents struggle to govern in divided houses. Voting for your MP, Senator and MCA will matter, perhaps even more than your presidential candidate. Food for thought.

Lula won 51.79% against Flávio Bolsonaro's 48.21%, a margin of 4.43 million votes. That is a clear victory. It also leaves almost 60 million voters behind his opponent. Defeating a candidate does not dissolve the coalition, grievances or interests that sustained him. 2/...

The tropical activity in the Indian Ocean has triggered high tides in the open sea that can easily topple fishing boats. Preliminary model forecasts do not show any big impact on precipitation from the storm.

KAA used to be led by Jonny Anderson, a proper professional who was talking about things like a common cargo facility to raise Kenya’s freight hub profile.
Instead we now have a charlatan who was rewarded after failing as a politician.
