Remind me again, who were the soviets to deport anyone anyway? I thought they liberated the Baltics.
So whom did they deport? Oh we know all of the names. And ages.
My grandma was 3 months old when she was declared "enemy of the state".

It is always funny that Baltic reactionaries never get specific about _whom_ were deported and executed under the USSR to pretend it was some kind of genocide.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Soviet Baltic deportations are well documented with specifics. Operation Priboi (March 1949) deported ~20,700 from Estonia, over 70% women and children under 16. Totals exceed 200,000 across Baltics 1940-53.

I feel like Jared Kushner being at the center of the plot that ultimately led to an American journalist being dismembered via bone saw while he was still alive should be a much bigger deal than our billionaire owned news media is making of it.

Yksi kansalaisaloitteemme perusteluista.

It is tragic that so many people still think Elon Musk is some altruistic super genius who is trying to benefit humanity instead of the mass murdering, racist-ass, criminal, dumb as shit, drugged up, traitorous Nazi fuck that he actually is.

I'm sick and tired of Americans demanding that we babysit their toddler-in-chief, who, by the way, is unable to go two seconds without lashing out at someone.
Volodymyr Zelensky’s recent turn to denouncing Donald Trump for “weak” decisions seems based on a gamble that an electoral drubbing will soon weaken America’s president. That may be misplaced economist.com/europe/2026/10…

The US is willing to betray its closest allies in Europe, a market of 450 million people and an economy worth nearly $20 trillion, just to cut shady, corrupt deals with Putin's Russia, an economy roughly the size of Italy's.
What an absolutely insane foreign policy.

Everyone hates Russia.
If you see someone that says otherwise on this platform, there’s a 98% that it’s a bot, and for the 2% of them that isn’t, there’s a 100% chance that they’re a fucking idiot.

🇺🇦 This is the story of a mother waiting to welcome home a young man who became like a brother to her son while they were in Russian captivity together.
Her son was exchanged in 2024, but his friend remained in captivity until yesterday.
The young man has no family, but she was there to welcome him home!
Because family isn’t always about blood. Sometimes, it’s about the people who stand by us in the darkest moments.

US energy company execs have resigned in disgust as the Trump family is caught secretly expediting the funneling of $25 billion from a sanctioned Russian energy giant in exchange for allowing Russians to obtain a natural gas project in Alaska.
According to investigations by The New York Times and Financial Times, Russia's Novatek allegedly concealed its financial involvement in the American project through a UAE-linked intermediary.
Gentry Beach, a longtime Trump ally and close friend of Donald Trump Jr., signed an agreement with Novatek to pursue natural gas development in Alaska. Reuters documented the arrangement in February.
Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin discussed this cooperation on the Alaska energy project with Trump's representatives, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, during negotiations involving Russia and Ukraine.
The controversy deepened when Polar Train LNG's CEO, Joel Riddle, raised concerns about concealed Russian financing and possible sanctions violations. He departed in September, followed by other senior executives.
The Financial Times also described discussions about a potential arrangement under which Novatek would provide technology for the Alaska project in exchange for sanctions relief benefiting its Arctic LNG 2 development in Siberia.
According to The New York Times, Riddle and two other departing executives warned the Trump administration about the Russian financing and urged officials to investigate.
The White House maintains that the project was mentioned only briefly and that no detailed discussions took place. There is no established evidence that Kushner or Witkoff knew about the allegedly concealed financing. Polar Train LNG denies wrongdoing.
The central question is how a sanctioned Russian energy company became involved in a major American energy venture while Putin was discussing potential economic cooperation with Trump's representatives and a longtime Trump family associate was pursuing a separate agreement with the same Russian company.
Selling Alaska to the Russians or selling Ukraine to the Russians - to the Trump family it's all the same.

If we want others to defend Estonia’s freedom, they have to understand why it matters to them too.
Lennart Meri compared Estonia to an Inuit kayak beside Russia’s supertanker: small, agile, able to turn on a dime. We should use that agility to sound the alarm early and say plainly what others would rather soften.
Estonia must have the courage to defend a free Europe, where right matters more than might.
For others to value a small nation’s freedom, that freedom must be of value to them.
What makes a small nation valuable?
Being the canary in the coal mine, sounding the alarm before others sense the danger.
Being the child who declares the emperor has no clothes. Not because others cannot see the truth, but because small nations are often the freest to speak it.
Yet freedom to speak is nothing without the courage to do so.
Estonia must have that courage. To champion a free Europe. To defend a world governed by right, not might.

‼️Since our campaign started monitoring alumina shipments to Russia on 14 March last, we can now confirm that Ireland has exported 500,000 tonnes of alumina to russia.
This is enough to smelt a quarter of a million tonnes of aluminium - the foundational metal of war.
And look what the Irish Times reported the EU sanctions envoy as saying this week:
