Unlocking Kenya’s Blue Economy potential requires strong partnerships that turn opportunities into tangible benefits for our people. I hosted @SafaricomPLC team led by Ms. Karen Basiye, Director, Sustainable Business and Social Impact and Managing Director, @SafaricomFDN , accompanied by Mr. Tony Mutembei and Mr. David Kanyi. Our partnership is focused on unlocking blue economy infrastructure at the Kabonyo Regional Fisheries and Aquaculture Centre of Excellence in Nyando, Kisumu County, and the National Mariculture Resource and Training Centre in Shimoni, Kwale County, among other investments. The ambition is clear: stronger infrastructure, more productive livelihoods, greater food and nutrition security and increased contribution of the Blue Economy to our GDP. I was accompanied by Dr. @MakillaDavies , Director, Fisheries and Blue Economy.
