Not sure how much he will be talked about with how well Lowe, Jackson, and Mulready played, but I thought Chol Machot was unbelievable for Georgetown tonight.
Five blocks doesn’t even tell the full story. He altered basically every short-range look UMD had when he was out there.

The final score ended up being a very poor indicator of what actually went down tonight.
Georgetown hit 15 threes. Jaland Lowe led the Hoyas with 22 points, five board, and eight assists. He hit five threes. Unreal game from him. Kayvaun Mulready added five threes of his own. Elmarko Jackson scored 17. Five blocks for Chol Machot. Emphatic victory for Ed Cooley’s squad.
Pharrel Payne finished with 28 points and eight boards. The Terps shot 15% from three.

Georgetown entered the bonus with 17 minutes left in the half. Three-point shooting has been the whole game - the Hoyas have hit 10 to the Terps’ one. Jaland Lowe is up to 19 points for Georgetown.

Maryland and Georgetown are less than 10 miles straight-line distance apart but have met just six times in the last 46 years.
They should go back to playing every year, and it should be personal.

Terps cruise after a weird start to the game. Andre Mills was the star, finishing with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Pharrel Payne added 13 and six. As expected, Maryland dominated on the glass 54-22. Shot 47% from the field but just 25% from three.
Bucknell’s Pachucki hit seven threes and finished with a game-high 23 points.

Hoping to see more from Baba Oladotun in the second half - the hometown freshman clearly has the tools to have an impact but has looked a little skittish so far.
College basketball is back and I’m here in College Park to see the Maryland Terrapins host the Bucknell Bison!
Terps are 9-0 all-time against Bucknell and are looking to open the 2026-27 campaign with a bang after a 12-21 record in Buzz Williams’ first season at the helm.
