Stablecoins aren't just entering the financial mainstream, they're becoming a priority across the industry.
At @money2020, @m_at_anvil, @Akhparty, & others connected with everyone from payment processors & VC firms to fintech platforms & more through interviews, meetings, & partnership discussions.
Across these conversations, one trend was clear: even the most traditional companies are exploring how to adopt onchain value.
As this adoption accelerates, so does the demand for infrastructure that makes digital assets usable across existing financial workflows.
The timing couldn't be better for Anvil. 🛠️
Stablecoin issuers held roughly $153 billion in US Treasury bills at the end of 2025.
That means onchain dollars are no longer isolated from traditional markets. They are becoming meaningful participants in government funding and short term liquidity.

Is @FlexaHQ integrating @anvil_xyz to offer BNPL backed by crypto to any merchant that wants to turn it on? I think they might be 👀

The global shift toward onchain finance is already underway. What will it take to support adoption at scale?
@RTB_io/@TheStreet sat down with @m_at_anvil to discuss growing demand, the infrastructure needed to support it, & the significance of institutional participation in Anvil Governance. ↓
Roughly $2 trillion in tokenized assets by 2030says @McKinsey & @BCG projects $14 trillion.
That gap is not necessarily disagreement. It reflects different definitions, assets and assumptions.
In tokenization, always read the methodology before repeating the headline.

Go check out my latest conversation with @m_at_anvil.
They just announced a major purchase of their governance token, led by Peter Thiel's Founders Fund. This is not a minor story!
There's a difference between believing in the future of onchain finance & actively shaping it.
Institutional investors are taking a much more active role in the universal collateral layer.

People who dismiss governance tokens as “just for voting” overlook their role in DeFi security.
Governance controls critical infrastructure, and acquiring enough voting power to change its rules can be costly.
Voting is the mechanism. Control is the utility. Security is the value. ethereum:0xaeeaa594e7dc112d67b8547fe9767a02c15b5597 is the token.
Joey Krug nails it here: businesses need to know the commitments behind payments and credit will be honored.
That's the whole job of collateral. Anvil makes it locked, verifiable and enforceable onchain, and @anvil_xyz holders now vote on the standards that define it. Another great interview by @m_at_anvil

Almost everything of value can be collateral. Most of it just isn’t...yet
Last week, Peter Thiel’s @foundersfund led a $5M token buy in @anvil_xyz.
The same week, @cryptosmiff sat down with Anvil founder @trspalding in Singapore for Conviction.

Onchain finance shouldn’t be limited to just onchain businesses.
The opportunity is much bigger than Web3, & so are the potential applications of digital asset collateral.

This is huge for our Industry. I met Carlos back in 2018 and it was so early they a called it Security Tokens. Would be a great way to make these assests productive with @anvil_xyz tech. Looking forward to chating @Securitize
We launched Securitize Stocks to bring some of the most widely held U.S. equities onchain, starting with AAPL, NVDA, TSLA and more on @solana.
Eligible investors can hold tokenized positions backed 1:1 by actual shares, with shareholder rights intact.

Anvil lets you lock up the crypto you already hold as a guaranteed promise to pay, without selling it. We sat down with CEO Max Schwartz on the new @anvil_xyz SDK, the $5M ethereum:0xaeeaa594e7dc112d67b8547fe9767a02c15b5597 purchase and @Bullish bringing Anvil into its operations.

In order to bring the financial system fully onchain, the infrastructure needs to work with how businesses already operate.
Anvil makes this possible for digital asset collateral with a direct path to integration, zero blockchain code required.

Most of DeFi uses collateral to take out loans. Anvil uses it to keep promises. Verifiable guarantees for payments and credit, now easy to integrate with our new SDK. Excited to have Founders Fund and an incredible group of partners in the Anvil community.
NEW: $5M from Founders Fund, Pantera and others, plus a brand-new SDK, as Anvil tries to make crypto fade into the background of everyday business.
@AcronymFNDN President @trspalding joins @kateirwin to break down how a DeFi letter-of-credit protocol powers buy now, pay later, accounts receivable and reservations, and why Bitcoin, Ethereum and tokenized real-world assets could become on-chain collateral.

ethereum:0xff20817765cb7f73d4bde2e66e067e58d11095c2 (@ampdotxyz) is a collateral token on Ethereum. It gets locked up to guarantee things that settle later, like payments and credit, and it has been securing payments since 2020. More at amp.xyz.
My first crypto purchase at a register was in 2019, right after Consensus. I paid with ETH for movie tickets and a beer at an AMC theater through Flexa (@flexahq), and it went straight from my wallet to the point of sale. This was before DeFi summer, so most people I told about it had never seen anything like it. Since 2020, ethereum:0xff20817765cb7f73d4bde2e66e067e58d11095c2 has been the collateral behind payments like that one.
That is still the main way it gets used. Crypto wallets use Flexa so their users can pay in stores, and ethereum:0xff20817765cb7f73d4bde2e66e067e58d11095c2 is the collateral behind every Flexa payment. It is also an accepted asset for Anvil (@anvil_xyz) letters of credit, a separate product that uses collateral up front for something that settles later.
On the Flexa side, you can pay at Chipotle, GameStop, Regal, Sheetz, Barnes & Noble, Ulta Beauty, and more. The ethereum:0xff20817765cb7f73d4bde2e66e067e58d11095c2 collateral is what lets those payments go through instantly at the register. If you want to see it in real life, there are videos of people paying at spenders.xyz.
The collateral comes from staking. About 20 billion ethereum:0xff20817765cb7f73d4bde2e66e067e58d11095c2 (as of today) is staked across 20 pools. Each pool backs payments from one app or network, so stakers pick which one they want to support.
The contract was audited before launch by ConsenSys Diligence and Trail of Bits. The code is open source and verified on Etherscan, and there is a public Dune dashboard at dune.com/ampdotxyz/amp-token if you want to look at the numbers yourself.
Anyone can build with ethereum:0xff20817765cb7f73d4bde2e66e067e58d11095c2. Flexa and Anvil are both live today, and any project can use ethereum:0xff20817765cb7f73d4bde2e66e067e58d11095c2 to secure something it settles later. Final (@usefinal) is the next one building on it, with new infrastructure for machines moving money.
