What a brilliant term. Great effort from the pupils in their exam work, some amazing performances in the dance showcase and Spotlight and or of course the huge success that was White Christmas. More to come next year! #ShapedByKings

Tonight we were delighted to host @KSWMusicSchool and the Open Mic Night. Excellent stuff from all pupils.
It was also a good chance to show off the set for White Christmas.

Congratulations to former @KingsWorcester Muslc Gap Student, Ed, on a fabulous organ recital which also featured honorary @Old_Vigornians David Brookshaw in an organ duet.
A new school year began in @WorcCathedral with a blast of Widor’s Toccata as the voluntary performed by year 8 music scholar and @WorcCathMusic chorister, Rory!
Congratulations to Mrs Hanson @StBPrimWorcs on her award. Singing is in good health at the school and I very much enjoyed working with the pupils last term.

Choral Evensong was broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 and is available now on iplayer. The responses were written by @Old_Vigornians Andrew Millington and the organ was superbly played by former @KingsWorcester Music GAP student and former @WorcCathMusic Sub Organist Richard Cook.
Congratulations to former @KingsWorcester music GAP student Piers Kennedy, who has been appointed as the new bass for @kingssingers!
Congratulations to @Old_Vigornians Peter who will be following in the footsteps of another former @KingsWorcester pupil Stephen Darlington.
Congratulations to our Sub-Organist, Peter Holder, who has been appointed Organist at Christ Church, Oxford.
Peter has been Sub-Organist here at the Abbey since 2017, playing the organ at our daily services and accompanying the Abbey Choir in recordings and concerts.
He served as principal organist at the State Funeral of HM Queen Elizabeth II and at last year's Coronation of Their Majesties The King and Queen. Earlier this year he was made a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music in recognition of his achievements.
He will take up his new post in Oxford in the autumn.
