The largest study on human happiness revealed something that blew me away. After 80 years of data, the #1 predictor of your health, wealth, and happiness isn’t what you think.

The second video was horrifying to watch. Seems like @Skhrebels . I’m on a mission to find out what has been done about this, @RIIL_sports 🧵 to be updated below as I get info. #RI instagram.com/reel/DBSYx1hO4…

#Breaking Phil Mickelson is a lead candidate for the Head Men’s Golf Coach at Providence College. Mickelson reached out to Providence AD Steve Napolillo following the news of the program’s resurrection earlier today. Mickelson’s grandson will be enrolling in the fall and Phil would like to takeover the program. More to come as this story develops.

A teacher at my school quit last night after hours. Didn't come today. Teaching is really really hard. If we can't value teachers mental health this is just going to keep happening. I looooove my job but there are definitely aspects that seem insane and unsustainable. – at York, England

What a great resource this teacher shared!
Tomorrow's one of my favorite activities to help students think more critically about concepts: hexagonal thinking. I like to turn it into a bit of a game at first to help them be more willing to stretch their thinking. 🧵 with info and resources. 1/

An arts education is essential to the whole of education. Art heals. Art inspires. Art engages. It shapes our thinking, and it moves us to action. Raising the bar in education must include the arts.

Love this.
Thank you to all who are preparing kids for the “real world.”
Who else watched Inventing Anna?
Anna Sorokin, who rose to infamy by portraying herself as Anna Delvey, a wealthy member of New York elite, tells CNN’s Jake Tapper that she regrets the activities that sent her to jail cnn.it/3T9hhpw
This is outrageous. @Moms4Liberty: you are a joke.
I shared the behind-the-scenes story of my surreal week — finding out @GirlsWhoCode books were banned, having Moms for Liberty call me a liar and our books "pornography", and watching a school district force us to debate the meaning of the word "ban." newsweek.com/my-books-banned…

Not a great way to get people to buy in to your cause.

This applies 100% in the classroom. When students are motivated only to get an A, they'll avoid taking any risks and find all possible shortcuts towards that outcome. Grading needs to be flexible, minimal, and reflect growth over time.
If a person knows that if they fail, then punishment will soon follow, then you can be assured that they will not venture out of their comfort zone. They will take the necessary steps to ensure their survival. Using fear as the main motivator trains people to be risk-averse.
