2 years ago today, the trophy came home.
On 30th October 2024, Peter Appiah-Thompson, Isaac Mensah & David Nyansah Hayfron beat St. Augustine's College and Keta SHTS to win our 3rd NSMQ title.
One point. One riddle. History.

Your motivation to be blessed must not solely be to prove a point to enemies but to uphold lovers.
Concentrate more on lovers than those who don't like you. There is nothing as wasteful as working so hard just to prove a point to someone who doesn't like you and may never do. No amount of success can ever win a hater over. Focus on lovers. Spend your life on them. Leave every hater to those they love. Turn around and you will see many people who are ready to receive your love without any stress.

This is a clarion call for everyone that matters, to go back to the drawing board and address this issue from its roots. However, I believe we can all agree that the neglect of the grassroots by most appointees is the reason why some only defend their bosses.

I’ve been monitoring some NDC social media communicators, and honestly, I keep asking myself, how did we get here?
Some only become active when the conversation is about their Boss or Godfather, or when their Boss is in trouble and needs defending. Meanwhile, critical government policies, achievements, party matters and national issues that require a strong NDC communication front are left unattended.
We have gradually shifted from communicating for the party and government to communicating for individuals. Everybody is protecting their own interest, and the bigger picture is suffering.
The NDC is bigger than any individual. Your Boss is not the party, and defending your Boss cannot be the only reason you are on social media as a party communicator.
We need to bring back a coordinated, issue based communication strategy that promotes the government, defends the party and engages the opposition on matters that concern Ghanaians.
How did we get here, and more importantly, how do we fix it?
