Trainers please start teaching these kids the game! The amount of kids I’ve seen who do all the skill training in the world and have negative iq and can’t make reads is abysmal! You can do all the cone drills in the world it won’t matter if you don’t have IQ!

🚨 Sticky Words Sunday 🚨 Desired outcomes of ALL offense actions: 1. Layup/FTs 2. Catch and Shoot 3 3. Double Gap 4. Mismatch - All other outcomes are net negatives for the offense - Mid range shots are a win for the defense. - Any shot attempt with less than 5 seconds left on the shot clock is a win for the defense. 👇🏼 This is why the simplest actions win. 'You're never more open then when you first catch the basketball.' PPP AT EVERY LEVEL (highest to lowest) goes: Transition, Secondary Transition, Half Court Triggers, EOC. Over coaching offense not only causes tactical indecision, it also stunts creativity. Which is critical to technical development.
