This'll be a long one
Three months of trying to get my Roblox accounts back, and I don’t know where to go from here.
I’m posting this because I’ve spent the past few months trying to resolve the permanent terminations of my Roblox accounts, Harzee and Katesen, and I’m honestly reaching a point where I don’t know what else I can do besides arbitration. As I've stated before, I am intimidated to do arbitration due to financial costs and my own circumstances.
Both accounts were terminated in July 2026 for “Misusing Roblox Systems.” The enforcement was based on account associations with another account that had seriously violated Roblox’s Terms of Service.
I dispute that those associations establish that I personally operated the offending account or was responsible for its activity.
I understand that Roblox may have information I cannot see. I also understand that my own account history isn’t perfect. I’m not claiming otherwise. My concern is that I’ve never received a meaningful explanation of how these associations were established or why they were considered sufficient to permanently terminate my accounts.
Harzee is my main account, and it represents approximately 12 years of memories.
I’ve spent years on that account. One of the most meaningful things I created on it was a game commemorating a friend who passed away. Losing access to that account has been genuinely difficult because those memories and experiences cannot simply be recreated.
Katesen was given to me by a developer friend around five to six years ago. Although it doesn’t carry the same longstanding history as Harzee, it became personally meaningful to me over time as well.
Since the terminations, I’ve tried to resolve this through Roblox’s available channels:
-Submitted numerous appeals through Violations & Appeals, eventually exhausting the available submissions.
-Contacted Roblox Support through several different routes.
-Filed a Better Business Bureau complaint, which ultimately did not resolve the issue.
-Submitted two reports to the Federal Trade Commission.
-Submitted Right of Access requests to Roblox Privacy Operations, which were denied on jurisdictional grounds.
-Sent a formal Mandatory Informal Dispute Resolution notice to Roblox Corporation through FedEx. It was delivered on August 13, 2026.
Continued contacting Support for clarification about the MIDR process, only to receive repeated instructions or statements that they could not provide further information.
On November 2, I sent another certified-mail follow-up to Roblox’s Legal Department asking whether my original notice had been received and reviewed, whether Roblox considers it procedurally sufficient, and whether the company is willing to participate in the informal dispute-resolution process.
I’m still waiting lol
I have also collected screenshots of account recovery and transaction receipts as supporting evidence. The screenshots show what Roblox’s recovery system returned for certain email addresses, but I recognize that they do not independently prove who operated every account. My concern is that shared household circumstances and technical account associations may have been treated as proof of personal responsibility without adequately distinguishing between the people involved.
At this point, I’m exhausted.
I’ve spent months trying to get someone to meaningfully examine this situation. I know that posting on other platforms won’t automatically get my accounts restored, and I’m not asking anyone to harass Roblox employees or flood Support with messages.
I just want to know whether anyone else has experienced a similar situation involving account association, exhausted appeals, or a MIDR notice sent to Roblox.
If you’ve gone through FedArb arbitration involving Roblox, I’d especially appreciate hearing about the actual process, costs, and what filing looked like.
I’m still hoping for a fair resolution. I just don’t know how much longer I can keep trying to get someone to hear me.
Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this.

This is good to hear and I’m glad Roblox is addressing the issue even if they legally can not disclose everything about how their system works.
However, for those that have gotten Enforcement Banned (EF Ban) like me, what does this mean for us?
Will Roblox be revisiting previous account-association bans, or are we expected to continue appealing through the same channels that have already failed to provide a meaningful review?
I’m getting exhausted.

Roblox has issued an official statement on the DevForum regarding account bans.
Some of the things they say they're going to improve on:
- Clearer ban notices.
- More proportionate Marketplace consequences (flagged terms in items or experiences)
- Grace period for games available in Roblox select
- New Issues & Appeals page (more than one person can view violates and file appeals for games under groups)
- Expanded appeal eligibility (more specific appeal types for your ban notice)

Great news - Roblox has finally responded and updated us on regarding the mass ban wave situation.
Here’s a few:
1) Roblox admitted an account-ban detection error.
2) Roblox acknowledged that innocent content can be flagged
3) Marketplace moderation is becoming more proportionate (Roblox is rolling out changes so first-time mistakes involving item descriptions are treated differently from repeated violations)
However, most people affected by the mass ban wave are still banned, and many appeals are still being ignored or denied (although I’m not sure if they’re still being automatically denied). On the bright side, I’ve seen a few people get their accounts restored, which is awesome news for them!
I’m really hoping Roblox starts restoring wrongfully banned accounts as soon as possible, including those belonging to people who can no longer submit appeals. Hopefully, everyone affected, including myself, will finally get their account restored and have their accounts reinstated.

About my situation:
- I was falsely moderated by Roblox’s automated system because of the words “combo boy” in my UGC item’s name, which Roblox seemingly interpreted as an attempt to bypass their recently censored term “com boy.” What makes it even more frustrating is that the name had already been approved by Roblox’s own system, and there was no prior notice that these words would be censored. Instead of receiving a warning or time to correct the name, many affected users, including myself, received permanent bans.
- initially received a 7-day suspension, which was successfully appealed. Roblox confirmed my account would be restored within 3 business days.
- Instead, my account was permanently terminated, and the moderation reasons kept changing.
- Despite submitting multiple appeals and providing evidence, Roblox continued denying my requests without properly addressing the situation.
- I’ve lost access to multiple accounts, groups, thousands of UGC items, and thousands of dollars. #roblox #RobloxDev #robloxbanwave #robloxban #robloxugc @Roblox

Why are you doing this 😭😂
Tadi siang makan sop bareng keluarga.
Day 81 as of November 2nd, 2026. Roblox has not responded to my MIDR.
I may end up fighting for my 12-year account and 16-year account for as long as 100+ days. I'm weighing my options.
RIP in advance.

Bringing this to light again, my main and secondary were falsely associated with different rule-breaking accounts that I do not operate or own. Now both of them say the same account after disassociating from the other one. #robloxㅤ @Roblox @InsideRoblox

Oomfie got his account reported and now we're communicating with him like some ancient spirit in a ouija board

Many creators are speaking up about this Roblox AI false ban wave to help those who have been affected. Yet, Roblox decided to respond with what honestly seems like a lie that everyone already knew.
I genuinely believe this ban wave has affected tens of thousands of accounts, if not more. On X alone, I’ve seen hundreds of posts from people asking for help or publicly calling Roblox out. And that’s just the people who are actually speaking up. Imagine how many others have been affected but haven’t said anything, especially younger users who don’t even know where to ask for help or how to get their voices heard. These are accounts that people spent so much real money and time on.
What’s odd is that no matter how many people speak up or call Roblox out, nothing seems to work. People are still banned, appeals are still getting rejected, and Roblox has yet to officially acknowledge the issue or explain what’s going on. It honestly feels like they’re just waiting for everyone to move on and forget about it. #ROBLOX #robloxbanwave #robloxdev #robloxugc
