Genuinely sad to see a void of breakthrough U.K. acts on the sound poll this year. Trying to make it look like it’s been a good year by putting already established acts on it. This very much feels like the product of years of cultural neglect in this country sadly.

If young musicians and creatives live in a country where they don’t feel as though a career in music is a possibility then of course there will a void of new exciting acts. The U.K. values its world class, groundbreaking talent so little, it’s depressing.
