I kept hearing that Pope Leo XIV was โfar left,โ and for a while I assumed there must be some truth to it.
Then I started actually listening to him.
Not clips. Not political commentary. Not somebody telling me what I was supposed to think about him. His speeches. His words. His teaching.
And I have completely changed my opinion of him.
On immigration, he has acknowledged that a country has the right to control its borders. But he does not stop there. He has also told immigrants that entering another country comes with responsibilities. Learn the language. Respect the laws. Learn the customs. Participate in the life of the community.
That struck me because it is neither โopen bordersโ nor a rejection of the immigrant. It is order and responsibility alongside human dignity.
Then there is abortion.
Pope Leo has been absolutely clear that the right to life begins at conception and continues until natural death. In his encyclical, he specifically named induced abortion and euthanasia among choices the Church considers gravely wrong.
And now, as he prepares to go to France, where abortion has been placed in the constitution and assisted dying has advanced into law, the central theme of his visit is essentially a defense of human life: โThat the world may have life.โ (AP News)
Then listen to what he tells young people.
Stop being afraid of commitment.
Stop being afraid of your vocation.
Stop being afraid of marriage.
When speaking to hundreds of thousands of young people in Spain, he congratulated couples preparing for marriage and told them plainly: โYou donโt have to be afraid to get married and start a family.โ
In a culture constantly telling young adults to delay marriage, delay children, chase themselves first and keep every option open forever, hearing the Pope tell young people that marriage and family are something beautiful enough to embrace instead of fear hit me hard. (National Catholic Register)
The more I listen to Pope Leo, the more ridiculous our political labels start to look.
Borders matter.
Laws matter.
The unborn matter.
Migrants matter.
Marriage matters.
Families matter.
Human dignity matters.
None of those things cancel the others out.
That is Catholicism.
I thought I had Pope Leo figured out before I really listened to him.
I was wrong.
And honestly, the more I hear from him, the more I love this Pope.

US has struck two cruise missile launchers in Srik, southern Iran, as they were preparing to target ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
The strike comes after Iran intensified attacks on oil tankers in the Strait, causing oil flows through the waterway to fall to around 6.5 million barrels per day.

In October 2019, Noahโs Ark Scans conducted a major ground-penetrating radar survey of the Durupฤฑnar formation, filmed in part by the Science Channel with both 100 MHz and 250 MHz antennas.
American geophysicist Dr. Dan Bigman of Bigman Geophysical in Georgia first processed the data and identified right-angles, linear features, and other anomalies several meters down.
Andrew Jones later sent the raw data to an independent American geophysicist with 30 years of experience who ran her own company and had no connection to the project.
She reviewed the data over a period of six months. In 2023 she shared her findings, asked if we had dug a tunnel beneath the formation (we did not), and found a massive hallway-like tunnel roughly 4 meters down running through the dead center of the formation, along with voids, corridors, chambers, a larger central cavity, and parallel linear patterns.
In 2026, Dr. Khrosrow Bakhtar and BakhtarRadar confirmed this same massive tunnel that runs dead center through the formation, with organized patterns, corridors, and 3 layers. He said the structure beneath the surface was โextraordinaryโ
Every day the evidence leads us closer and closer to Noahโs Ark. Help us see this mission to completion with third party lab testing. If you canโt support financially, please leave a prayer on our prayer board in the Donation link below. We read every single one.

๐ฎ๐น Meloni has had ENOUGH of watching Italy's cities get TORN APART.
After the riots in Milan, her government has approved new measures targeting looters and violent protesters.
Up to 5 years in prison and โฌ20,000 in fines for certain group violence. Parents could be forced to pay for damage caused by their children. Another 500 soldiers are heading to Milan.
Meloni says 330 people have been arrested, nearly 200 officers injured, and the youngest suspect identified is just 11 years old.
Her message is simple: Protest all you want. Smash someone's livelihood, and expect consequences.

๐จ BREAKING: Nick Shirley, at 24, just stood next to the President of the United States and called out the media to its face.
He exposed the Minnesota fraud with a camera, and the press didn't go after the fraudsters. His words: "When I expose fraud, instead the mainstream media investigating the fraud, they investigated me."
He says people actually wanted to kill him for it.
Trump said what we're all thinking: "They went after you instead of the fraudster. I'm not surprised."
Shirley says the fraudsters bought Mercedes and sent our money overseas. Now regular Americans get paid to stop them.
One kid did the media's job. Now they're the story.

Im so tired of hearing about antisemitism.
There are more Christians facing high levels of persecution and discrimination worldwide than there are Jewish people in the world.
Enough already.
The funniest part is that you can genuinely love the Catholic Church, defend tradition, appreciate the Latin Mass, and still find some traditional Catholics absolutely insufferable.
Some people have turned being Catholic into a competitive sport where the winner is whoever can be the most offended.
I came here to grow in holiness, not develop a second blood pressure problem lol

Father Ripperger brought me back to the church after a 20 year absence. Having him rendered silent because of the politics of the church, is one of the reasons I left in the first place. All the secret agendas, takes and destroys all that makes the church holy.
I think asking Father Ripperger to stop public speaking for an entire year is ridiculous, and being a faithful Catholic does not mean I have to pretend otherwise.
Archbishop James Golka of Denver asked Father Chad Ripperger to step away from public speaking and interviews for a year. The archdiocese says this will allow him to focus on his religious community and that Father readily agreed. I respect Fatherโs obedience. I question the judgment behind the request.
We cannot keep hearing about the urgency of evangelization while asking priests with an audience outside the pews to stop speaking. Who exactly are we hoping will reach those people?
Someone who will not set foot in a church may still listen to a priest on a podcast. That conversation can be the first time in years they have taken the Catholic faith seriously. Why would we want to close off that opportunity for an entire year?
If Father needs more time for his community, reduce his schedule. Explain why that would not be enough. Catholics are capable of understanding competing responsibilities, but we are also capable of recognizing when an explanation leaves serious questions unanswered.
Evangelization cannot be something we applaud in a papal address and then treat as expendable in practice. These are peopleโs souls we are talking about. Asking how this decision serves them is a fair question, and it deserves a serious answer.
Iโm Catholic before I am anything politically, and Iโm tired of watching Christians make excuses for what they would condemn anywhere else.
Read this statement. Christian families in Taybeh were attacked by Israeli settlers while harvesting olives. The Church leaders in Jerusalem are telling us this keeps happening. How many more statements do they need to release before we take them seriously?
And before someone tells me Israel condemned it and arrests were made, yes. Good. Now these families need to be able to return to their land without being attacked again.
If your support for Israel means you cannot even condemn this without immediately offering a defense, you need to ask yourself what you are actually defending.
These are our brothers and sisters in Christ. Their safety should matter more to us than winning an argument about Israel.
I will not make excuses for people attacking Christians just because condemning them makes my own political side uncomfortable. Neither should you.
