We set a high technical bar for Gears of War: E-Day on PC: huge scalability, advanced ray tracing with MegaLights and RTX Mega Geometry, ultrawide support, and Advanced Shader Delivery to fundamentally improve the shader compilation experience.
Digital Foundry takes a great look at the technology, our technical team at The Coalition, and the partnerships with Epic, NVIDIA and the Windows/DirectX team that helped us push the PC experience forward. ⚙️

I’m incredibly proud of the technology we built for Gears of War: E-Day and the amazing technical team at The Coalition behind it.
We pushed UE5 hard with ray tracing, MegaLights, hardware Lumen, Nanite skinning and 60fps on Xbox, alongside a fantastic engineering partnership with @UnrealEngine.
