This is how I always viewed coaching.
Every season is different. Different players. Different strengths. Different challenges.
My job wasn’t to force every team to look the same.
My job was to get the absolute most out of the team and talent we had.
For me, that came down to three things:
1. Build the culture.
2. Develop leaders.
3. Find the strategy that gives THIS team the best chance to win.
You don’t coach the team you wish you had.
You coach the team you have.
Great coaching is figuring out what your team can become, and then helping them get there.

Leadership isn’t avoiding blame. It’s accepting responsibility.
Before you correct the player, correct the process.
What did we miss? What wasn’t clear? What could we have prepared better?
Accountability begins with ownership.
