Teachers, Sick days aren't just for physical aliment. when you feel like you're about to crash and burnout, take a mental health day! the school won't close and the world won't end.
Let kids play during indoor recess. Watching 20 kids gather around 1 LEGO bucket (by choice) and create together is fun to watch! Face to face interactions are becoming less common for kids outside of school. Make it happen while they are with you.

Read a great blog today about the week after winter break. Don’t start anything new. Let kids adjust first. They’ve been around family, stayed up way too late, & slept in. Don’t try all the new things this week. Give them normal first. Give them routine they are craving.
Student: Can I add another page to my reindeer book? I want to add a section about the Legend of Rudolf.
Me: Remember, it’s a nonfiction book you’re writing.
Student: Rudolf is real.
