Having played waterpolo for my high school, there is no way I would support an FHSAA agenda item removing it as a sanctioned sport. I am confident there are more creative solutions to increase participation. Thank you @FHSAA for hearing my concerns and removing this item from the upcoming agenda.
The #FHSAA Board of Directors will meet this Sunday & Monday for their first scheduled meeting of the 2025-26 School Year.
Following feedback from member schools, the water polo community, and Commissioner Anastasios Kamoutsas, the agenda item slated for the September board meeting has been removed. The FHSAA intends to engage with USA Water Polo to explore collaborative opportunities aimed at boosting participation. The complete meeting agenda can be found on FHSAA.com

it’s the anniversary of when walnut creek PD murdered Miles Hall. it is impossible for police to help anyone or deescalate situations when they have access to pentagon level weapons. defund/abolish police now. justiceformileshall.org/mile…

The protestors downtown have dispersed. The group exercised their right to protest in a respectful and peaceful manner.
As a reminder, a curfew is in effect tonight from 8:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. to help maintain public safety.

Appalling behavior by the police. They should have been able to diffuse things without resorting to rubber bullets & tear gas. As a Walnut Creek resident, I am disgusted. You were heroes last night & villains tonight. You can do better.

I’m in Bay Point have have been plugged into Contra Costa social justice organizing for the last 5 years. The #WalnutCreek protest was sketchy from the jump cause no organizer I know had a clue who was really planning it

Police just tear gassed Walnut Creek after detaining an innocent protester . They kneeled with us, and then forcefully charged a man. They gassed once the man was on the ground and people started taking videos. They gassed so that no one could get evidence. FUCK COPS ACAB

Last year, nearly to the day, Miles Hall was shot by police in Walnut Creek.
Imagine if we had mental health experts we could call instead of the police.
