Starting to hardcore prep for Bonnaroo next week. We've attended every year since '13 with our children and friends. It's a tradition we cherish. Honestly, if we had a vote to cancel Bonnaroo or Thanksgiving, I think Bonnaroo would win. Christmas should be nervous. #Bonnaroo

Since we're in resolution season, here is a method for reading 100 books a year: 1. Always be reading a printed book and audiobook. 2. Read at least 50 pages every day in printed book and listen to the audiobook whenever you can. 3. Stop reading any book you’re not enjoying.

This method worked for me for five years, until Covid threw me off of my groove. Point #3 is critical. Slogging through books you don’t like is a great method for reading about 10 books a year.

I'm starting to get back into the groove, though I doubt I'll read 100 books this year.
I dig reading old public-domain books from the 19th/18th centuries. So I made a little search tool *specifically* for that You type a query, it finds you one book that matches it -- and presents it for instant reading Behold the "Weird Old Book Finder": clivethompson.medium.com/a-s…

Have you Googled a recipe and found it reads like a short story? Well, here are 2 recipes from The Young Ladies' Society of First Baptist Church, Rochester, in 1887. Each is 2 sentences. The book is full of 1-paragraph recipes that could be made easily. archive.org/details/motherhu…

Bonnaroo lineup is out. There are 113 artists. I usually catch all or some of about 18 sets. I see 12 artists I’m excited about and I’m starting to explore and discover new ones. In the end there will be more acts I want to see than I will be able to see. I can’t wait. #bonnaroo

Jazmine Sullivan's "Heaux Tales" and Olivia Rodrigo's "Sour" were each the top picks on two of the lists. But while "Heaux Tales" appears somewhere on all five lists, "Sour" doesn't appear at all on two of the lists. docs.google.com/spreadsheets…
