It’s the year 2026 and the Star Wars Prequels are still absolutely horrible films. From Jar Jar to midichlorians, those films are a skid mark on the legacy of Star Wars. I was there. Everyone went to see them out of curiosity but hated them.

The reason the original Star Wars trilogy succeeds while the prequels & sequels largely fail is because Lucas was writing myth; the films are steeped in the folklore & fairy-tales he grew up reading, and few screenwriters today know how to write myths because few read them.

Watching the new Supergirl movie fail miserably is far more entertaining than seeing the actual movie.

This man is to DC what Kathleen Kennedy was to Star Wars.
#Supergirl stands to lose $100 million after opening to just $68 million worldwide. The DC Studios tentpole cost $170 million to produce and roughly $120 million to market. A source close to “Supergirl” says the movie would need to gross $300 million to break even at the box office. Some project the film's losses will be closer to $80 million if ticket sales can manage to hit $200 million. “This was always going to be a tough hurdle for DC and Warner Bros. because Supergirl isn’t a character that has ever created an event-level blockbuster,” says analyst Jeff Bock of Exhibitor Relations. “Audience perception of ‘Supergirl’ was not good. This is just a case of the film wasn’t good enough to become an event.” variety.com/2026/film/box-of…

The era of the cynical "deconstruct the hero" story is dying. It's tired, worn out, and—worst of all— poison to the soul. Anyone in Hollywood looking for what will move the needle in culture over the next 10 years, here's your template:

MUTT (played by Shia Lebouf) was the Scrappy-Doo of the Indiana Jones franchise. Appropriately named, Mutt was a literal dog no one wanted in any scene.

THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU is a shockingly inept film. The story is episodic meaninglessness which neither illuminates anything new about the characters or the universe itself. It’s clearly just a repurpose of season four scripts into a feature film. So disappointing.

Wow, never thought about that. Is Hulk not only the best good guy of all time, but the best bad guy? To do both is once is generational talent.
Is “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan the greatest Bad Guy in Pro Wrestling history?
