Austria is keen to deepen its engagement with Africa on three fronts: Trade, Energy, and Human Capital Development. At the 2026 Africa Day conference, this year's theme, “Africa Means Business,” could not have been more fitting. The conversations were not just about opportunities, but about how to translate shared ambitions into investments, stronger trade ties, and impactful partnerships At the Kenya stand, we were right at the heart of these conversations, engaging with investors, traders, entrepreneurs, and friends of Kenya to explore what our country has to offer. And, of course, what better way to spark such great conversations than over a cup of world-class Kenyan coffee? ☕ From local value addition and beneficiation to the creative economy, green energy, ICT, and the immense opportunities presented by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), Kenya is positioning itself as a strategic partner and gateway to Africa. The future of Kenya-Austria relations has never looked brighter. The interest is real, the opportunities are immense, and the momentum is building. Africa means business. Kenya means business. And Kenya is ready for business! – at Vienna, Austria

We look forward to building on this fruitful engagement to further deepen our long-standing ties with Hungary and unlock the full potential of our relations.
Kenya is looking beyond traditional markets to build stronger economic connections across Europe. My discussions with H.E. Ms. Anita Orbán, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, focused on how we can deepen Kenya–Hungary relations and translate our diplomatic ties into greater economic value for our people. We explored expanding trade and investment, strengthening development cooperation and building closer people-to-people ties that can create pathways for Kenyan businesses, entrepreneurs and young people. Our goal is simple: partnerships that attract investment, connect Kenyan talent and enterprise to new markets, and contribute to jobs and shared prosperity at home.

” 🇰🇪🤝🇭🇷 Another step forward in deepening our friendship and cooperation .
Kenya is widening its global connections and building new bridges for our people. Together with H.E. @grlicradman , Croatia’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, I signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Political Consultations, creating a stronger framework for regular dialogue and cooperation between our two countries. Beyond diplomacy, this gives us a platform to deepen economic and cultural ties, explore new avenues for trade and investment, and create stronger connections between Kenyan and Croatian institutions, businesses and people. For Kenya, every new bridge we build internationally should ultimately open more doors at home, particularly for our businesses, entrepreneurs and young people. We are expanding Kenya’s reach, strengthening our friendships and positioning our people to benefit from a more connected world.
