🥎Transfer Portal🥎 Perfect slap against Texas for a single. Texas positioned 3 infielders on left side to fight for the out. One of my favorite games ever. Kearstin Tinsley | D1 Middle Infielder Email: [email protected] C: 813-600-0826 @64Analytics_Sfb @SoftballPortal

Players: If you want to lead your team you will have to hold some of your best friends accountable. That isn’t always easy. The best leaders lead by example and look after their teammates on the court, academically, socially, in the weight room, and in the community. Leading is not a part-time gig. It’s a full-time job with overtime required. Leaders never punch out; they are always on the clock. Leaders can’t be selected by coaches. They rise to the position through consistent action and mentality. Some parts of leadership are fun such as helping teammates who need assistance and being the person who helps make decisions. There is glory in leadership. However, many parts of leadership are difficult, such as calling up those who aren’t bringing 100% effort, managing conflict, and holding others accountable while also performing at maximum focus and effort every day. Imagine trying to lead your teammates when you show up late, are inconsistent in your effort, or if you have a bad attitude. It isn’t possible. However, once you get your habits, mind, and work ethic in consistent order then you’ve opened up the door to help others get there too. The most difficult part of establishing yourself as a leader is showing everyone else that you are the example, that you are the standard. It requires a relentless level of daily effort. Leaders aren’t perfect; they are flawed just like everyone else. However they bounce back faster than others, they never waver in their effort, and they take responsibility. Leaders own their mistakes and they are elite at turning the page while learning along the way. Leaders partner with the coaching staff to ensure the program runs at maximum capacity. A coach-led team will never win a championship. A player-led team is a dangerous team that can overcome anything and reach maximum potential.

Would you rather be completely exhausted from consistently working hard toward your dreams or well rested from doing absolutely nothing? Success is never easy. Nobody is ever going to give it to you. You have to work at it every day & that’s a choice only you can & need to make!

I have many athletes I work with who want to play college ball, more specifically for top 25 programs. My question to them is always “is your effort & intent what a top 25 athlete at that program is doing?” Does each rep matter to you? Does the work you are doing have purpose or are you just checking a box taking a certain amount of reps? If you are building a million dollar home but have no plan, blue print, or subject matter experts to help— you may spend a million dollars but you won’t have the home you want. The same goes for building yourself. – at Austin, TX
