FLORIDA FLOOD THREAT - Get ready, Florida! An astronomical amount of rain is coming over the next two weeks. Over foot of rain is possible in the Panhandle & Big Bend with widespread totals of 6+ inches likely elsewhere across Florida - which is the equivalent of 10 trillion gallons of water. This has the potential to be the wettest October on record for Florida. It remains to be seen if any tropical trouble comes out of this messy pattern, but there will be plenty of Gulf lows through the Winter, and is a harbinger of things to come as this El Niño pattern establishes itself. #flwx ⛈️☔️💦

Long range maps here on weathermodels.com showing increased rain forecasts for Dec/Jan. Historically likely with a subtropical jet fueling Gulf energy. More floods.
